It is a shame... it was a hell of a big job for an inexperienced manager though. He gave it a good shot. My eldest son will be upset when he hears the news - he loved Frank!

Bloody hell, that's rubbish! Frank has been doing a great job. It really frustrates me when clubs sack managers without even giving them a chance to get better results.

They've not given him much of a chance. It was definitely a big job for your first Premier League job but he was doing ok!

Shame! Not quite forgiven him for treating Derby County so shoddily though.

IMO he should have stayed at Derby for longer and then taken the Chelsea job further down the line.

Not unexpected though. I wasn't sure they'd go through with it because of all the service he gave them as a player but results and success speaks louder then repaying loyalty in football.

I came in from work to a WA message from my old boss. He didn't dare tell Wilf. He met me do that.. I can't even print Wilfs response. Abramovich statement is so bloody hypocritical... A bad footballing decision in my opinion, but he won't starve, and if he does not go back into a job soon, can spend more time as a supportive dad given his wife is expecting.

I'd love Lamps to go to Ipswich Town....Lambert is as much good as a chocolate teapot.
He turned them down before he went to Derby..
I wonder if Mason Mount will stay now as.he came with Frank from Derby.
I personally adore Olivier Giroud and think that Billy Gilmour has a good future!

Chelsea always do this with managers!
Lampard came in as we lost hazard, had transfer ban and the team weren't playing well.
He got us in the top four and a cup final, while playing mainly young players!
