(16 Posts)Its really blowy here in Gloucestershire I’m unsettled and cats are also on edge. I hate the wind.
I'm awake and listening to it further SW.
I'm not sure it's what woke me up. It's not unusual for here.
Listening to bins blow down the road though.
Nah, still as, here. Southern Hampshire. I'm still up because I cannot understand why I can't sleep! I'm jealous for East Anglia and their impending snow, though. And, weirdly, birds are singing loudly ( I think sparrows?).
It's 20 to 4. I'm 58 and exhausted (lots of pressure at work, frontline NHS) but I'm one day into 3 off. I got 5.5 hours sleep last night, I woke up at 7, got up at 9 (to go get my Covid jab!)- abs I've been awake ever since! Last night was my fault, bingeing on a box set.
My eyes are really sore! Do I go up and possibly disturb my lovely DH; do I weather it out here and stay awake all night; or do I grab a blanket and try and get some shut-eye here? Then face all the family questions later, as to why I didn't go to bed? 🤔
Up listening to the rain here. DH woke me with baby and now baby is downstairs in the travel cot and I'm on a nearby sofa. Can't sleep in the living room very well, but baby seems to have outgrown his next to me and won't sleep in it now so I'm here waiting for morning while he snoozes.
Where are you, * bantz*?

Living room. I have got a duvet though so it's not all bad. DH was down here with him until 3.
Damn. Quoted the wrong post. In my defence, it's not 4 a.m yet.
Hope you all stay safe. Cat No 1 just looked out of the window and came back into bed. He’s not impressed. It’s really not good out there.
I couldn’t sleep for the rain but it’s stopped now
Stupid cat No 1 went outside, the back door was nearly ripped out of my grip. But he was straight back in after doing his business. It’s still tipping down and blowing a Gale. Ordering ear plugs as I am awake from Amazon. Ready for next time. Strange weather snow frost and now wind and rain all in few hours. Bizarre.
There's been heavy snow here for the past two days and I can hear it melting and crashing off the roofs. Keeps making me jump.
Yes been awake since 2am as the wind and rain are heavy, there's also something banging outside which is highly annoying.
I'm awake but there's no snow, rain or wind
Yep wind and rain and period pains.
Dh and the dog both soundo lol
It’s really wild outside here too. We can’t sleep. Our cat wouldn’t come in last night. My DH is so worried he’s braving the weather in the garden and looking for her.
He’s wearing pyjamas, my pink rain coat and flowery wellies-( the first things he found, he left his own wet gear stuff in his shed).
He’s walking in a strange way as the wellies are the right length but too tight in the width.
I hope the neighbours are not awake. The outside lights are on, so they could be woken by the glare!
The cat isn’t stupid she will be in another house- she occasionally gate crashes, and he is on a fool’s errand, but he won’t be told!
I’m alternately lying here fuming and getting up banging on the window shouting “Come in”. He can’t hear because of the storm anyway.
Cats! Men!
Raining hard here, but only know because I got up and went to the toilet. Not sure why I'm awake other than the fact my 28 week pregnant body/mind seems to have decided for the past few days that this is a good time to wake up. Woke up to weird ache in one big toe... feels like someone stamped on it, but don't see how when I've been in bed!
