Rash advice

Hello!

I'm planning on calling to make an appointment with my GP tomorrow, but before I Soo just wondered if anyone on here can tell me what they think it could be and/if I could perhaps see a Pharmacist about it instead??

These rashes are appearing on various parts of my 6yr old DD's body. I presumed dry skin at first but it appears not to be the case. One which appeared a couple of weeks ago (disappears under a glass - they all do), which I dismissed as dry skin, is still there but slightly faded now.

Oh and no, I'm not looking for a 'diagnosis' from MN! Just thoughts from more experienced parents perhaps, on whether you'd see a GP or just a Pharmacist about these given the current situation?

Cannot use eConsult as she's only 6, GP surgery won't allow it.

Could it be ringworm? (Which is thankfully NOT a worm).

This was my first thought to be honest. Though I'm not noticing any prominent ring shapes?

Actually, now I can.....kind of. Oh god! I feel awful that I could've easily treated it ages ago :(

I thought ringworm too. IME ringworm is a bit of a misnomer as the rash can be more like a coin imprint (which tallies with your first pic) than a ring. The second pic looks like a fungal rash DS had last year (diagnosed by the pharmacist).

Don’t feel bad! You (presumably) aren’t a hcp. You are doing the best thing for your daughter by seeking advice for her. I thought DS’s fungal rash was eczema for 4 months.

Don't feel bad! Poor DD is often rashy so I recognise the signs (she gets a viral rash at the first sign of an illness, gets eczema in cold weather, and occasionally treats us to a bit of ringworm).

It'll do your DD no harm, just grab some treatment at Boots. Bosh. Job done.

Ringworm would actually tally with the itching I've been having in my groin (sorry, TMI!) despite good hygiene/never sharing a towel etc. She does share a bed with me as (she refuses to sleep on her own in her lovely new fancy bed!)
