Tea for my teapot

MumbleBee20 · 14/01/2021 08:59

Dp bought me a teapot for Christmas, and I love it so much that I have given up coffee! Just wondering whether anyone has any loose leaf tea and storage boxes that they would recommend? Would like to try something we haven't had before.

I buy from Char tea in Winchester. Always lovely tea and they have a lot of variety. Also gift sets etc.

I've bought loose leaf from Monmouth Teas, they have a shop in Monmouth and also sell online. So far, I've had Lapsang Souchong, and Earl Grey, and they taste lovely.

A family member works in the industry and has suggested Suki tea based in Belfast. They have a website: suki-tea.com

I used to live in Winchester and can second Char. I still hanker after their jasmine tea sometimes!!!

Suki tea's Belfast Brew or English Breasfast are particularly good.

Thank you! I never thought I would get excited about tea 😄 I'll have a look at them all now.

I like a pot of fancy tea at weekends. My favourites are Japanese cherry blossom green tea (Chill Tea Tokyo), green or black tea with rose or vanilla (Whitards or Cheshire Tea Co), green tea with pomegranate (English Tea Shop). Green and jasmine.

Also use Tealyra - but mainly for hibiscus flowers which I make up in a big jug - have the first cup hot then cold from the fridge. They do lots of loose leaf though.
