Ok, so heres mine

Wake up feeling exhausted after being up most of the night on MN amongst other things.
Pop to the loo
Breakfast is normally a couple of slices of toast, coffee from my new coffee maker, today I choose Bold Americano, which immediately uplifts me as the aroma fills the kitchen. I also have a glass of fruit juice and a actimel (something in my head tells me it will fight off that nasty bug thats doing the rounds)

I take breakfast up to my bed and snaffle it. Then I have sneeze after sneeze (normal for me every morinng after eating) I am working in my bedroom as my DDs BF is now working from home and has a lot of calls from solicitors and zoom calls so I leave him with some privacy while I prop myself up on the bed with my laptop. I have desk I bought specifically for working from home, but its cold out of bed as I have the window wide open to keep the room ventilated.

My DD pops her head in my room and asks me if I have seen her UGG boots, I say no, so she asks to borrow mine, then notices I have 4 UGG boots in a row...ahem (but in fairness I did buy them in error, I didnt realise I ordered 2 and as she is the same size I gave her the others) she then puts them on and leaves for work, she works in a nursery.

I then sit and think about all the work I have to do, while catching up on MN and writing this pointless thread.

Have a good day everyone.

I need to add weighing myself to my routine but am scared that the scales wont give me the response I would like :(

I do like your day better than mine, it sounds very relaxed :)

4.45am - wake up, go to F45 class
6.30am - shower, wake kids up
6.45am - make up, kids breakfast
7.00am - shout at kids to hurry up
7.15am - leave house and drop kids at school
7.30am - get to the office.

When we were in strict lockdown from Mar-Jun last year, my morning was very different. Working at 4am, yoga at 5.30am, back to work until kids woke up, then juggling online zoom lessons, shouting at the kids, making lunch, having nervous breakdown, more work zoom meetings, 5pm run, 6pm dinner, 7-9pm more work. It was relentless and exhausting.

6.30 am wake up, have a wee, take meds, look out the window to see what the weather's like. Then have a cup of tea with husband, put cozie and warm tracksuit on and head to the beach. I swim and husband has a walk. Get home, nice shower, husband gets the chickens fed then we have toasted teacake and a capacino. I laze on the sofa for a bit then get dressed and go to work.

Why do you sneeze after eating OP?

I have no idea about this. I used to think I was allergic to alcohol as I noticed it particularly after eating out at restaurants when I would have a glass of wine with my meal and get a blocked nose and then sneeze non stop for about half an hour. It became a joke with my family and friends when I started I just couldnt stop, now its when I eat anything at all it happens.

Oh I forgot about that part of my routine, I do listen to the radio, although it has to be LBC at the moment, I go through phases. I always used to love Radio London with Robbie Vincent when I was a lot younger, I had an image of this gorgeous man, and then , well I saw him and his voice didnt match his image, I changed over to LBC from that point :)

Mat leave - so very different to my working routine. Also very much dependent on what’s going on with my 5 month old - she sometimes sleeps till 8, sometimes is awake at 5 ready to start the day. 7 is average ish so I’ll go with that.

6ish - wake up (naturally, not alarm), go for a wee. Get back in bed tired after being woken up by either my baby or my ancient dog or both at various points in the night.

Dog will start moaning at some point for a wee so I ring DH’s phone to wake him up (he’s in the spare room as DD still cosleeps at least part of each night). DH gets up, carries ancient dog downstairs as he’s so ancient he can’t do stairs anymore, sorts dogs medicine breakfast etc, makes us both a cup of tea and makes DD a bottle.

7ish - DD wakes up, DH will change her nappy, I feed her whilst DH makes us another cup of tea. DH then starts getting ready for work (at home) and is logged on to computer for 7.30 and I usually play with DD with her toys/ read books/ sing - basically however I can amuse her without getting out of bed or expending too much energy.

8am - DD restless so I get up and sit her in her little chair thing in the bathroom whilst I shower and get ready for the day. She enjoys this as she likes to look at the bathroom tiles and finds them quite fascinating. Back in the bedroom and get dressed, make up on if I’m bothering that day (rare) whilst chattering away to DD and keeping her amused. Then get her changed and dressed for the day.

8.30 downstairs with DD. Sit her in high chair, take dog out in garden for a quick wee, take my vitamins, wash and sterilise bottles, empty dishwasher - usually put music on whilst this is happening and turn it into a bit of a song and dance show for DD. Make myself a cup of tea and piece of toast. Sit and eat it at the table with DD in the high chair next to me. She’s not started solids yet but we’re getting used to the high chair and being at the table. Also usually have a banana.

8.50 ish - go into the living room and play on play mat with dd.

9.15 - depending on weather either wrap dd up and put her in pram or sling for a walk. Actually I’ll make a tea in a travel mug first to take with me. Try to persuade ancient dog out for a walk also - rarely successfully. Wander the streets or go to the park until dd falls asleep. If weather is really awful or I think it might be better later in the day skip the walk altogether and try to get dd to nap on the sofa. If successful then stick an episode of whatever I’m currently watching on Netflix (she’ll only contact nap so great excuse to sit on my arse).

Alarm goes off too soon and the sunrise lamp is already on with blackbirds tweeting their heads off.
Check for sleeping cats amongst the bedding so I don't accidentally hoof one off the end of the bed or roll over onto one sausaged out between us.
Pull the curtain back a bit to check what the world looks like this morning.
Slide out the side of the bed and go to meet the cat that by now, is waiting on the bathroom mat where he knows I will go first.
Sit down, hoping he doesn't decide this morning is a murder the bath mat and accidentally murder my feet in the process. If I'm lucky, it'll just be a 'here's my arse and tail' presentation.
Brush my teeth and wash my face as the cat weaves in and out through my legs until the other cat gets up and has a go at the landing carpet.
Go downstairs with the cat slowly following me a step behind.
Open the kitchen blind and see whether the fox that lives behind the shed is sleeping on the windowbox this morning.
Pick up my mug and head for the kettle.
Switch kettle on, ignoring cat now on the kitchen table and the one at my feet, hoping for breakfast.
Wander into living room, open blinds ready for sunrise.
Power up computer.
Back to kitchen.
Make black coffee and fill cat bowls with food.
Back to computer, log into work and BBC News.
Check emails for anything immediately urgent, flag everything so I can see I need to deal with it, log into all the other programs.
Drink some coffee and start with the most urgent things
Check the reports on sleep from my Fitbit, brush my hair, make more coffee and then think about having a smoothie for breakfast whilst doing little stretches and flexibility exercises.
