What is everyone planning for 2021 holidays?

Exactly that, what are you planning for 2021 travels?

I'm intrigued as a friend mentioned they have booked several trips abroad from March onwards, which did surprise me.

Planning to stay in the UK. Perhaps I am being overcautious, but can't see us even being able to travel around the UK by Easter.

Bugger all. I can't justify the price of UK holidays so we will be going nowhere.

We have holidays booked (Europe) but that's only because we were due to go last year so rescheduled for a year on. I'm not optimistic that they will happen. I wouldn't book anything new right now.

None. Any abroad will either be cancelled or there will be a significant amount of restrictions.

I want to book Florida for October, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet.

Fuck all. Usually have three or four bookings lined up but I’m not getting involved with the excitement/disappointment cycle this year.

I want to go and see my family in Ireland in July and Scotland in august. I’m cautiously optimistic about Scotland. Ireland I’m just hoping against common sense!

I need to book some time off work in the summer holidays. The main thing we want to do is see family who we haven't seen for over a year in some cases. Not really thinking about travelling anywhere else at all.

I’m due to give birth next week so waiting until baby is here to book anything, but really hoping (but probably not likely) to get a week away in September to Spain.
Had 3 holidays cancelled last year so itching to get away (we love going abroad) although the last one I would’ve been to heavily pregnant to go to be fair!

No plans for now. The priorities are to get to see my mother for the first time in a year. Anything else can wait.

Have booked Florida for late October and a European holiday for July. All flights can be rearranged if ness and accommodation is cancellable.

Devon in April ( looking unlikely now) and IOW in June please God.

Then maybe go to a Haven for Hallween half term week.

I'm mostly dreaming about 2022 when I have lots of ideas. I want to go on River cruise with my ds17 at some point.

I would take a weekend in a squat in Dover right now

I've been waiting for a family wedding to definitely be cancelled and new date booked, which happened earlier today. So at last I have a weekend that I absolutely have to avoid, and can start looking for a nice self catering in UK or driveable Europe, with enough room for five households and a couple of dogs. Pet passports will still be possible just more twiddly. And one of us is absolutely livid about the sausage ban. However another one of us is already an expat and planning to set up in business turning french pork into proper bangers for brits abroad!

We have flights to Thailand which we were due to take last year, have to use them sometime this year, hopefully we can go at some point but it's not looking hopeful. Hope the airline can let us re-book for next year.

Apart from that I'd like to go to somewhere in the med in June, but I'm not confident enough on it to take the trouble to book the time off, book the flights and the accommodation.

Otherwise a UK break in May or June and a city break in europe in December?

No plans at present

We usually decide/book last moment, but this year we don't expect to be doing that.

I'm hoping it might be safe to go and stay with each set of grandparents, and do day trips in different parts of the country. If that's not permitted, then there is another family member who has a self-contained, currently unoccupied, granny flat and we might see if we can stay there which would be nice as it's in a pretty part area

We are booked to go to Florida in May, but that is the carry-over from the cancelled trip we had booked for last May. I really don’t anticipate that we will actually get there.

We have booked UK camps sites for July and August, and hope to be able to have those holidays.

I am hoping for a UK break at Easter, somewhere abroad in the summer x2 and maybe October half term.
At the moment all that is booked is a villa in Spain in July but haven’t paid any money (just timeshare points) and have yet to book flights.
I might book the UK break if it’s refundable/ moveable.

I booked a lodge in England at the end of March with 3 friends back in September time when things were looking a bit better, it's looking likely that this won't go ahead.

Also re-booked our May holiday from last year for the 2nd June, I'm still holding on at the moment that this will go ahead 🤞🏻 If not we will probably get a refund rather than re-booking yet again for next year. 😔

We are currently booked for Centre Parcs in April (postponed from last year) but expect to postpone that again.

I definitely want a beach holiday at some point. Will be happy with the Canaries but if I can persuade husband then would prefer the Caribbean.

We wont book until we are pretty certain we can go.

Dugee · 12/01/2021 18:14

Both our foreign (Europe) holidays were cancelled last year.

We have booked 2 weeks off work in July and September. Would be nice to go abroad but we're going to leave it until last minute to book.
