.... that won’t pull the wallpaper/paint off the walls! Everything on Amazon sounds amazing until you read the reviews and folk are having to repaint etc. Is there anything kind to walls?

Thanks!

@zeitgeista don't you find that blue/white tack leaves an oily spot on the wall?

Where are you putting the fairy lights? Is it possible to use tiny hooks in the wall, so you can drape the lights?

The Command decorating clips are brilliant - literally made for fairy lights and they come off both painted and papered walls without leaving a mark. You can get them on amazon for about 6 quid-ish

Don’t think bluetac will be strong enough for one lot which are almost the size of tennis balls but might do the other set. Hollowtalk, do you mean picture hooks or would I get something finer? Off to Amazon for a look.

Thank you! Has anyone tried, or managed, to take the command strips down without damaging the paint? If so, they will be perfect and blueback will hold the other set.

Yep I've taken them down. You have to follow the instructions perfectly though

I used command strips during my student days - the strips didn’t peel off the paint after removal, but it depends on your paint/walls. I didn’t have the sort of paint that flaked off, and the walls were white anyway so repainting would have been fairly simple.

Blue tack left wall marks for my flatmates.

I've used Command strips to hang pictures in rented accommodation and they never left a mark when removed, they will only stick to flat walls though, not textured wallpaper.

I use 3M invisible hooks.

Sounds great in that case ... thanks for all the responses!
