Friend keeps sending me all these links all the time

I have a dear friend who always keeps sending me links to random things. Sometimes it's funny and interesting and about things we have talked about, but often it's things like music videos she likes so I must watch them too, or extremely long random scientific articles that she expects me to read. I have told her I appreciate hearing from her but that all those links can be too much. However, she just keeps doing it. What would you do if your friend was like this? It stresses me out to get random messages during the day with long articles she thinks I should read. She keeps sending them if I don't respond.

I would either not respond for a while, or say 'busy with the kids/work'. I often don't open the message so it looks unread. I would also probably mute her so I didn't get alerts and only saw the message when I went in to WhatsApp.

Simply don’t read them and don’t respond.
Job done

She’s not forcing you to look or read them. Just ignore.

The thing is, I have tried ignoring the link messages. She just keeps sending them and the next time we speak to each other she will ask if I have read them. When I say no and that I were busy she starts monologuing about the content. She is really kind and I don't want to hurt her feelings by saying something like stop this shit is boring.

No, she isn't kind if she keeps sending the same links and checking to see if you have read them. This is all about her.

Soutiner If I do the same it just encourages her! If I ignore she contines. If I tell her it can be overwhelming she continues.
Nothing works! She might have ASD - she doesn't think so herself though.
Oneearringlost She is otherwise a kind, funny and helpful friend who I wish to stay in touch with. Guess I'll have to stop worrying about being rude. I'm a mumsnetter FFS Grin

Ignore / don’t open

When she tries to talk c then when you meet just say you haven’t got time and don’t want to hear c it, you want to spend your time with her doing x positive thing

She’s not reading social clues so you gotta be blunt
