Unique spare bedroom ideas

I'm after ideas of ways to best utilise a smallish spare bedroom (it is just about big enough for a double bed)
I will need it to be able to fit 2 guests to sleep in from time to time but wondering about any unique pieces of furniture I could put in there to maximise space and storage and also maybe multiuse the room?! Any ideas welcome!

You would be better not utilising the space so when you have guests you don't need to clear out any detritus, just make the bed, dust and vacuum!

Any additional use will mean bits being left “for now” so best not.

We have a small spare room with a 4 ft double bed in it. It has 3 x 2ft shelves on the wall and also a rack with hooks and I keep white wooden hangers on there for guests to use . It has an IKEA chair and an IKEA clothes rack on wheels.I store all our sports gear on the rack but I can wheel it out when guests come. I use the chair for meditation if we have no guests.

Sounds like something I would want! Sadly it is a flat!

Good ideas, thank you.
It is a small flat with not much space in the 'hallway' so I may need to utilise the room for coats and shoes too.

Ottoman bed for storage. Or maybe a Murphy/wall bed if you want the clear floor space for something like yoga.

We have our own 5ft bed made of wood slats screwed onto ikea kallax units, topped with two 2ft 6" matresses. We sleep better on our own matress'

The kallax are three lots of four x one's. So we have 12 drona storage boxes (which fit masses of stuff) easily accessible under the bed.

It makes the bed slightly higher than usual but the easy access storage is brilliant. I also have spare duvets bagged in the void space in the middle of the bed.

What about a single bed that becomes a double? Something like this: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/slaekt-bed-frame-with-underbed-and-storage-white-s89227731/

And then a foldable desk like these?

I’d do a trundle bed but one where the second bed comes up to the ‘proper’ height to make a double, not the kind where it’s permanently low. Like this www.mattressman.co.uk//guest-beds/birlea/201131-430505/buxton-guest-bed-single-pine-guest-bed.aspx?&utm_source=google&utm_term=&utm_campaign=8696534319&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=%7Cpcrid%7C407858056785%7Cpkw%7C%7Cpmt%7C%7Cpdv%7Cm%7C&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3PWoo6qS7gIVlQUGAB2thQ6QEAQYBiABEgLCKvD_BwE

We have a bureau desk in ours which is great because you just close the top part and all the work stuff disappears with zero tidying. Ours is an old wood one we got 2nd hand on eBay (they cost very little if you like vintage), but this sort of thing www.laredoute.co.uk/ppdp/prod-324394538.aspx?dim1=4&dim2=1&mkwid=s_dm%7Cpcrid%7C442402191741%7Cpkw%7C%7Cpmt%7C%7Cslid%7C%7Cpgrid%7C104202837018%7Cptaid%7Cpla-922052466214%7Cproductid%7C32439453800040001873220&omniturecode=Google-Shopping-PPC-Shopping+Home+%26+Furniture+%3E+Office-Home+%26+Furniture+%3E+Office+%3E+Desks&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvLbZkauS7gIV1hoGAB1kGAoZEAQYGSABEgIj9vD_BwE

We have a Studybed in our boxroom: the small double size. DH uses it every day as his study as he works from home even before COVID.

If you'd benefit from a home office space, then I'd do a sofa bed or a single-that-turns-into-double with a table that could be used as either a desk/dressing table. Then some kind of small wardrobe / wall-mounted hook type item (ikea?) to use as a cloakroom day to day, or small wardrobe for guests.
