Got quite a lot done today. I made a cottage pie with cheesy mash for tea, went to buy hay for the bunnies ( took ages as I got there & realised I’d forgotten my purse), cleaned the kitchen & did some washing. I’ve had a tummy bug for a couple of days so it’s so good to be feeling better. When it started on Thursday, I thought I was going to have to abandon my trolley in Asda & go home as I felt so sick & faint. DH has been for a bike ride after attempting to help DD12 with her homework. Not an easy task! She is unbelievably stubborn at the best of times. I do feel for her though. It was history which could be really interesting but is just so dry! If they could have trips to castles, museums etc to back it up they would find it relevant. Some subjects are working quite well online, others definitely not. DD has spent a lot of time in her room. I do worry about her mental health during lockdown. She keeps saying she’s not well when I try to encourage her to do stuff. DH is dying my hair “ Iced Chocolate “ tonight as I have grey roots. We’ll probably watch Casualty & The Voice, maybe a film later when DD’s in bed.

Did an olio pick up. Kids have gone to their dads. Picking them up at 6. Once they are in bed then having a bath and going to sleep! So exciting me

I'm waiting on a phone call from my dads consultant to see if he can have an operation next week or if he can come home from hospital first. They would rather he had it quickly so he can stay where he is rather than out than in again. It's actually quite stressful. Consultant said he would call anytime from 1pm - 8pm so constantly checking phone.

So I'm having some wine.

Dh entertaining the baby, my 18 year old is letting my 6 year old play mario with him - she's thrilled.

Going to order a pizza for dinner as my head is fried to be honest.

DH is washing-up. DD is using Galt painting lens (recommend, thanks Santa) and drinking hot chocolate (which I've recently discovered I can make in our milk frother). I'm carrying stuff from room to room to try to tidy up a little (we have a tidy house, but often end up with a pile of stuff in a room which doesn't belong).

DH cooking dinner, kids playing games online with their friends and I'm under the blanket on the sofa watching football and on here. Will have dinner, play a game with the kids if we can drag them off the screens and then fall asleep in front of the TV I should imagine!

DSD15 has just disappeared up to her room, expected to emerge for food and then scuttle off again.

DSD9 is sat on a blanket on the floor, colouring in a 3D jigsaw, that I believe will become a unicorn... remains to be seen though. One dog is sat with her, watch what is going on very intently.

DH and I have been fitting a bathroom today, so we're both sat on the sofa, with tea (thanks DSD9!), nursing our aches, whilst watching the news. I have the other dog curled up on my lap as a hot water bottle...

Apparently we're having pizza oven pizza tonight. Just been decided. I'm having nothing to do with this, DH and DSD9 are on their own with the prep for that!

DH is working, DD is relaxing after uni work, DS is hopefully doing homework - I procrastinate on making kısır, but will start soon.

Apart from that: it's Saturday evening, dark, cold and everything is closed.

Just had Pinch of Nom bolognese. Really enjoyed it and weighed out the portions as per my January efforts to lose some timber.

Have done a Pilates workout this morning and 5 mile walk whilst listening to a podcast so feeling quite virtuous. Washed my hair afterwards as well so pleased to not have that to do tonight.

Baby is in bed and eldest is playing in the bath to wind down. Just about to do his story then he'll be out like a light.

No idea what to do tonight. I'd like to get some work done but my laptop is in the repair shop so it makes it awkward. Might get a board game out.

DH one one sofa, me on the other. Drinking red wine and half watching The Serpent. House is clean and tidy and candles are lit. Got some beautiful lilac coloured tulips the other day that are looking v pretty in the candle light. In a minutes I’ll make chicken curry and noodles

My son is picking a book for story time (guaranteed to be Wobbly William and the mysteriously holey jumper), then its bath and bed for him.

My partner is just finishing a danger nap.

The puppy is playing with his kong and the cat is silently judging us all.

DH is reading the paper, dog is still snoring after a muddy walk. DS is shouting at people on his x box and dd sulking as we are having take away tonight and she doesn't want one as she's on a diet (she's cooking her own)

I've got a chicken roasting in the oven and sitting watching A Discovery of Witches in the living room with a nice hot mug of coffee. DH is in the bedroom as he wanted to watch the footy after getting home from work. DC have been chilling in their rooms but DD1 is currently washing the dishes she'd been hoarding in her room. Will be getting DD2 to clear the dining table of her art stuff soon to set it for dinner.

Went for a walk to feed the ducks earlier, still quite slippy!
Fire lit & me & the kids are watching a movie now.
DH is in bed, he finally mama fed to get a well deserved week off work after working 6 days a week for the whole year.
Once he wakes up he’s making a romantic dinner for us, he’s a great cook.
Kids will go to bed & we might watch a movie/sit an talk.

Then DH will do Sainsbury's shop whilst I do a Yoga With Adriene and attempt to make a dent in the chaos that is the kitchen! Early night tonight as v tired.

Did a small party in snowy garden for DD 5th bday. She did not cope with other children having their own ideas of how to have fun, felt cold, cried a few times. Later declared it ‘the worst birthday ever’. I’m in bed feeling shite about all the efforts made, trying not to be annoyed with her as she’s only a kid, and muster up the energy to do bedtime without feeling too hard done by.

Right this minute I'm sitting by the fire with DH half watching an Indiana Jones film that we've seen at least three times.

It's nice though.

DD is at her dads this weekend so I have been out on a long, lovely walk along the sea front, very enjoyable without a whinging teenager to drag along with me! Bought some amazing macroon biscuits and a cup of coffee and had a super time people and wave watching.

Came home - had fish for dinner that was yummy, then sat under a blanket with the cat and finished season 3 of Downton.

Now about to head to bed for a long lie in tomorrow morning.

We've just had a Chinese and watched a film. Kids have gone back to their pits. DH is just in from work. The fire is lit. Got a blanket and Bridgertone to watch. Not sure how DH is feeling about that though! Bet he'll watch Match of the day on his ipad instead!.
