Suddenly scared for GA

Due to have my wisdom teeth out in a couple of weeks. They need to some out and I need a GA as they're so impacted.

Ive have 2x GA before but lying here awake now wondering how my DC will cope if i die 😭😭😭

I've been putting it off for a while as I kmowntbr recovery is awful but suddenly so scared!! I wasn't a mum last time I had a GA so now I'm worrying about the kids :(

GAs in healthy young people are incredibly safe. Think of how incredibly fragile some of the elderly with multiple health conditions are, and yet are safely brought through GAs for things like fractured hips.

I’m the most laid back person in the world but even I suffered terrible anxiety in the week before I had to have GA for a small op - I couldn’t sleep and so nearly cancelled it. It was fine! In fact, it was better than fine - the staff were lovely and afterwards i felt amazing, all sleepy and relaxed for ages - then I went home and slept some more! I could do with some of that stuff now tbh!

You will be fine. Having a GA is incredibly safe as mentioned above and you will be well looked after. I work in theatres and we do these operations all the time, I understand that people get anxious but it truly is very safe to have a GA.
