We order a Serrano ham every year, every year DS from the age of twelve now nineteen manfully takes on the task of decimating it, last week for probably the first time in a long while his anxiety over Covid and everything started to bubble up, he was really twitchy as to whether Tesco would deliver the Serrano ham, ( it really wasn't about the ham, I can see that now)

We agreed that we would try and order a second one and if the first one arrived we would cancel the second one, the first one arrived yesterday, straight on to the Tesco website to cancel the second one. Computer says no......

We are in tier two but living as though we were in tier four as I am CEV, we have been nowhere, done nothing and whilst the extra spend is annoying in the extreme, it is not the end of the world.

Looks like Serrano ham for Easter as well. Grin

Our lights aren’t quite long enough for our tree.
Run out of gift tags and not going shopping especially for more, so hacking up some Christmas cards in order to make some!

Im not sure if it's worth going to M&S just go a colin the caterpillar cake. My mum buys one for me and dDs every year, but we cant visit london now. And the other supermarket versions are not the same.

Today went well, the turkey and hamhave been collected from the farm shop and look gorgeous.

However they had no Baronbigood brie, we are going to have to slum it with Brie de Meaux. Grin

Seriously just grateful we are here and safe and that there is a vaccine in the offing.

I also made sage and onion stuffing and assembled the pigs in blankets.

Christmas puddings are on the verge of selling out (there’s normally loads left after Christmas marked down). I popped to M&S today to buy my normal one and there were none left 😱 So popped over to Sainsbury’s and after asking a nice store assistant found the last two. I guess more Xmas dinners are being cooked this year with no foreign travel and fewer family gatherings.

I hope taste the difference pud lives up to its name!

There was no ham in our Ocado delivery. DH had to get one from Iceland instead. He was remarkably calm about the fact Iceland had run out their special mince pies.

It’s not definite that DH has bought me the Schoffel coat that I sent him the link for. I’m feeling quite tense, I don’t mind admitting.

I'm due to do our food shop tomorrow.
I've read on here that there's no baileys.
I am trying not to let my panic show, but I'm very stressed at the potential thought

The asda winter scented loo roll i bought isn't as nice as the one i normally buy, and I've got 18 rolls to get through. I'm embarrassed to admit how much this is annoying me.

DH has bought a massive roll of wrapping paper which is horrible and does not match the 2 nice rolls I bought, also there was no need for him to buy wrapping paper at all. He has wrapped my presents in it and ruined the look of underneath the the tree Xmas Hmm

Just decanted my homemade sloe gin into a bottle but because I spilt quite a bit when I first made it there is way too much sugar in it so it's a bit syrupy.

My sister dropped off presents yesterday and she'd used the same tasteful paper as me, result, however when I smugly announced I'd bought mine in last years sales for 10p/roll she told me she got hers for 1p!
I'm also boiling a clootie dumpling at the moment (takes three hours) containing the last of my currants which can only be bought in M&S these days and I've just realised I forgot to put the sugar in, guess the birds will be having a Xmas treat.

Our third Christmas tree (in the freezing conservatory that no one goes in) looks odd and I can’t work out why. I keep adding things and taking them off Angry
