Can anyone remember this children’s book from 70’s?

It’s such a long shot. It was a large book, a4 size, hardback, blue I think, and it was a collection of v short bedtime stories, some several on one oage. I was born in 76 so I imagine it was a 70’s book, my parents used to read the stories to me as a child and I really want to try and find a copy. One story I remember v well was an ill child who made a
Patchwork blanket for her dolls with some scraps of material.
Not much to go on I know but I wondered if anyone remembered having the same book and remembers what it was called

Type Vintage 70's book short bedtime stories into your search engine. I just did this and quite a wide range came up - with images of the covers. One of them might be what you're looking for.

Thanks, I did think that but no luck yet. Which makes me wonder if it wasn’t a very obvious or well known book.

Was it 365 bedtime stories ?

Maybe look at 1960s books as all my childhood books had been handed down from my mums friends children and cousins etc. I don't remember a brand new book they all had curled pages etc.

365 sounded promising but I dont recognise any of the covers I can find online. Thanks though.
Yes maybe 60’s, I’ll try but I think it had a very seventies look about it

There are lots of bedtime stories type books illustrated by Eric Kincaid. Could it have been one of them? Such as this: stellabooks.com/books/lucy-kincaid/stories-for-bedtime/1504849

I still have my '365 bedtime stories' from about 1964, the dust jacket is long gone, however the hardback cover was a deep purple with gold embossed lettering, its now lilac with no lettering at all.

This rings a bell. Is it the one where the grandmother teaches the girl how to make a grandmother’s garden (hexagon) quilt with meaningful scraps? Not the more modern book called the Patchwork Quilt.

Was it pale blue and the gold embossing was a bear and possibly a rabbit holding fishing rods.

Also had stories about a boy eating baloney sandwiches and the dentist and doctor arguing over lollipops.

This is the book I have well it’s a pic from a booksellers website

Thanks so much everyone, I didn’t think I’d get so many replies! Unfortunately I don’t think it’s any of them. The blanket story was v short, as they all were, so I don’t think it was as detailed as that, though it seems there are obviously lots of quilt stories out there. I think the girl wanted to make a dress for her doll but only had red and green scraps so the mum suggested a blanket.
I want to say the girl was called patsy but that might be wrong

@Coldwinterahead1 I don't think I know Lowley Worm!

He was big into anthropomorphism or whatever it's called Grin (animals being humans!)
