While we're talking about terrible Secret Santa gifts

I do wonder why we all bother grin but was this so bad?

It's a long time ago now, but it's stayed with me because of the reaction, when I thought I'd done quite well.

I had a boss who loved a cup of tea and a biscuit, especially a chocolate digestive, but very rarely bought the biscuits. He was famous for it, would always have one if they were on offer.

So for our £5 SS, I bought £5 worth of different brands of chocolate biscuits.

I thought it was funny but also, I knew it wouldn't go to waste and end up in landfil.

He was not amused. Was it a really awful attempt?

I suppose it was a bit PA and, assuming they were opened in work for tea breaks, not just for him to enjoy.

Hmmm I once stuck to the fiver limit. Unknowingly every fucker else had spent way more. I took a badly wrapped set of coasters. Not particularly pretty ones. And stuck them in the ss box. I was mortified when someone came up to me and utterly slated my gift. In fact I pretended I didnt know who had brought such a shit gift.
If I do bother now then I spend a lot more, like 30 quid and get something really nice.
