(4am) why are you still awake?

I can't sleep- I have horrid insomnia generally and have fallen into the bad habit lately of sleeping during the day and going to bed late.

Feeling a bit anxious too (suffer from panic attacks) but that's pretty normal for me! Just not a nice feeling sad

Hoping to get to the dentist tomorrow as I have had bad toothache for a while now.

Feeding 4 month old DS 😴

I fall asleep shattered at 9pm so end up waking up stupidly early. I’m currently badly affected by stress with daily vomiting and unable to eat much at all...for 8 weeks now- life is not much fun!

Too many painkillers after an operation a few days ago. They have the reverse effect and can keep me awake for days. Managed to do some Christmas shopping though so all’s not lost

My DS had a night terror and now I can't get back to sleep as I thiI may be pregnant and was planning to test in the morning. Well it's morning now and I just want to test but was actually planning to wait until the "real morning" and not be lying here thinking about it.

Night shift worker in care home

DangoDays Thu 19-Nov-20 04:48:57

My friend committed suicide yesterday. I've managed 4 hours sleep but my mind is just racing. I think I may just get up and do the planning for teaching today that I couldn't do last night.

Woken at 1.30 by sound of the contents of our recycling bin rattling down the street. Am worried it’s all over the estate but it’s too cold and windy to go out and collect it yet. Also, indigestion and house-moving stress not helping.

fresh Thu 19-Nov-20 04:52:04

@DangoDays I’m so sorry to hear that, no wonder you’re awake.

YessicaHaircut Thu 19-Nov-20 04:53:29

Bastard downstairs neighbour decided to go and put stuff in the recycling bins at 3am and I haven’t been able to get back to sleep.

@DangoDays I’m so sorry about your friend flowers

Contemplating whether my family would be better off without me / feeding my 5 month-old.

Takethewinefromtheswine Thu 19-Nov-20 04:55:28

Dango flowers
I always sleep like a log, but tonight I have a lot on my mind which made me sleep badly. And then I needed a wee, so now my giant kittens think it's time to get up.

DangoDays Thu 19-Nov-20 04:55:36

Thank you @fresh. Am completely shocked. And feeling pretty numb. Will welcome being busy today.

DangoDays Thu 19-Nov-20 04:59:29

@takethewinefromtheswine send your giant kittens this way.

Thanks for kind words all. Hope the sleep fairies make their way to everyone tonight and we have better sleeps. Xx

UniversalAunt Thu 19-Nov-20 05:06:53

@Nicknamegoeshere Please talk to someone today about how you are feeling. Your Health Visitor, midwife team or GP can help you & it’s better to reach out sooner.

tara66 Thu 19-Nov-20 05:08:29

DangoDay - my condolences. I never sleep more than 4 hours - it's boring!

DontBeShelfish Thu 19-Nov-20 05:09:26

High winds and toddler who's newly afraid of the dark. Stress about job.

@Nicknamegoeshere I know it's tough right now but this will pass. Do you have anyone in real life you can talk to? thanks
