A few years ago I had a couple of grand to spend when I didn’t really need anything ( it was compensation from a work related assault).
I treated DH and me to a couple of entry level Tag Heuer watches. Couldn’t wear it at work but several years later I enjoy wearing it daily now having retired.

I'd book an air bnb by the sea for the weekend for me, DH, my siblings and parents to enjoy.

When this is all over? I'd go out. I'd basically recreate the roaring twenties and go out for a week. Frocked, fully made-up, I would eat, drink, dance and gig. All in feathers and sequins.

Tear drop filler. It was the single best thing I've ever had done and knocked 5 years off me without any pain. Then i'd have botox in my elevenses.

@ClaireP20 where did you go? Am just starting a new job and think I need an overhaul! Also - how long ago didn’t you do it / how long did it last?

That's a good day dream!
I'd rent a car and drive around Europe (post covid). Stop in whatever city I feel like without much planning. Not worth the risk if every penny counts otherwise. My idea of freedom.
Need to write to Santa Grin

A new sofa. I’ve wanted one for years, everyone keeps saying ‘oh I bet you’re glad you didn’t get one with toddler DS’ and now ‘you won’t need a bee sofa till the baby is here and grown’
Fuck off. I want my sofa wether my kids are 6 months or 6 years. Grin

Am assuming this is fantasy land so the world is open? I'd bugger off to a Greek hotel overlooking a beach bar on my own with a kindle, hopefully it would be luxury enough to have a butler to bring me regular cocktails.

I'm feeling so overcrowded at the moment, I never get a minute to myself as two dc have moved back in due to lockdown and my DH is being a massive PITA.

Technically I've already spent about £600 on myself during lockdown on a pair of Sony noise cancelling headphones and a beautiful aquamarine and diamond ring (my DDs birth stone).

The remaining £400 would probably go on a weekend break for us all next year.

Botox and tear drop fillers then a long weekend break in a spa hotel with my own hot tub and dh to share it with.
