If so, was it easy enough and was it nice?

Have never made but watching with interest as I think it's really good for your stomach

I have, did for a period a few years ago.

I ordered some organic live trees (I think that's the word?) off Amazon. I used them daily for over 6 months. Unfortunately it wasn't good - only a couple of times it turned out alright, otherwise it was always over sour no matter what I did.

In the end I got rid of it as it just wasn't working. It's so much easier to buy it from the local Polish shop. These days Tesco stock it - some organic brand that is far too sweet and smooth but it's okay.

I’ve made both the milk Kefir and the water Kefir.
Water one more recently and yes was very easy you just need to remember to strain it after two days.

Tastes nice and is much cheaper than shop bought. You can add fruit to it to jazz it up.

It’s very good for gut health.

The milk one can taste quite sour I agree. It tasted better added to smoothies.

My mum used to make her own. Don’t think she ever had any issues. Only stopped as it mainly to help my dads bowel issues but it wasn’t helping (the kefir was perfectly good, but it didn’t improve his issues).

Thanks for the responses. I buy it now as am using it as part of healthier eating. I’ve lots weight and feel much better generally - and do believe it reduces inflammation generally.

But the stuff I buy through Ocado is a bit sweet and smooth (even the unsweetened) and it feels more pricey than I need. Plus lots of waste with all the empties.

Off to get the grains today - any tips much appreciated! I don’t mind spur as long as it isn’t bad for me.
