I love a sherry in the winter, late afternoon, preferably by the fire.

Anyone agree? 😬

I have bought my Christmas bottle. When does Christmas start?

A Tio Pepe or Manzanilla straight from the fridge - over ice even.

Me! Holding off buying it because once it’s in the house it calls to me. Will try to stay strong til 1 December but feel my resolve weakening as the days get shorter

Yes - me! It’s been a while since I’ve had a bottle though, feel it’s more a winter drink. What is nice?

I am a disgrace as I like sweet sherry. It reminds me of my granny and celebration lunches and Christmas

My sil used to get given a bottle every year by a supplier and every year it made its way to me. Damn her for leaving that job.

I don't think I've ever tried sherry in my life, and now I feel I must.

Any recommendations for a nice one?

A nice sweet sherry it reminds me of my dear Nanna who used to make me a sherry shandy (sherry and lemonade) at Christmas.I also love a sherry trifle.

I've not drunk it since I went to an informal (meaning you don't spit it out) sherry tasting at Harvey's years ago and got absolutely banjaxed. In my defense it was about 10 different sherrys.

I like Harveys in trifle but to drink prefer a dry one but rarely have one now.

I prefer it in trifle but I'd happily accept a glass of Harvey's if offered.

Only at Christmas, preferably before dinner and with my mum. It wouldn't taste right at any other time.

Harvey's Bristol Cream is a must for the winter drinks cupboard! My daughter age 23 also loves it.

Oh Croft Original is just delicious. And dangerously moreish 😂

It feels such a treat (I'm sure it's not really) and strangely decadent.

Can you tell I'm a big fan 😂

Love a sherry.

H and I went all middle-class after university and drank Tio Pepe and manzanilla which I still enjoy, but I've taken to having the odd Harvey's as I regress to my childhood Grin

Currently we are drinking faux-sherry made from parsnips and raisins.

Croft Original is posh in my book though not at all in reality. Punch magazine used to have adverts for it featuring Jeeves and Wooster (this would be late seventies, I think).
