Eau de toilette for 20yo DS - suggestions please

I’d like to buy my son some lovely fragrance for Christmas. The last couple of times I’ve bought him Chanel Allure Sport which he loves but it might be nice to have a change.

I’m thinking something light but masculine that would be fine for day or evening.

Any ideas please...

Dior sauvage ?

Or for something cheaper Hollister ?

Dior Sauvage is lovely but so many lads he knows wear it and I think he wants something a bit different.

Hollister is a good shout too and definitely young and fresh but he’s had that before.

I used to love Miracle by Lancome but don’t think they make that any more. Anyone know of something similar?

I agree that the Hugo Boss ones are always good. D&G ‘The One’ is gorgeous too

CK Eternity? Old school but fits your brief.

Or a cologne by Aqua di Parma - cypressa or I think there is an Earl grey one as well.

Found it! It’s Bergamotta di Calabria.

CK shock is nice and fresh
Joop Homme? It’s very strong but I like it.
My DP has asked for Mont Blanc Legend which if I recall is slightly musky but not as overpowering as Sauvage etc.

Ones I've bought for my sons
Boss The scent
Boss bottled
Gucci guilty
Boss bottled Tonic
Paco Rabanne Invictus
If you wanted a cheaper alternative, my then 18 year old liked "White Ice" from Next

Bleu de Chanel is terrific. There'll be one or two notes in there he'll recognise from Allure Homme Sport, but it's also very different. Chanel fragrances are excellent quality IME.

Prada Luna Rossa Carbon is also really nice, a lot of the younger men I know like it.

Dior Homme is great too, a lovely floral for men.

Versace Pour Homme Dylan Blue or Yves Saint Laurent Y (esp. the parfum) also worth a go.

Just a shame I can’t go and try a few - buying them blind is an expensive experiment.

Most boots are still open, if you have a list of ones to ask for I think they may be able to spray them on cards for you

DS is the same age and wears Polo Red. He won't wear Chanel Allure Sport because my late DH used to wear it (its my favourite scent!). If you want something really different that his friends are unlikely to have, try Shaghaf by Swiss Arabian or Shadow by Ajmal. Both are long lasting but fresh, and can be bought on Amazon.

definitely Issey Miyake - suits a range of skin types and its lightness means that you can't put too much on
