Plus getting some Xmas shopping done and maybe one last meal out
And getting in some decorating supplies

I want to clear my container garden of the manky old annual flowers while the dump is still open and go get some compost too!

BogRollBOGOF Sun 01-Nov-20 08:31:40

Go to the tip in the next council area. Ours still expects you to book a couple of weeks ahead hmm

Quirrelsotherface Sun 01-Nov-20 08:31:43

Going to be sensible as if lots of people rush to do stuff, that kind of defeats the object.

We are doing one last group dog walk and breakfast Wednesday. Luckily me and the kids (and even the dogs) have had hair cuts in the last couple weeks. I can get most things online so no need to actually go to shops. I think house maintenance/repairs are still allowed? That must come under 'go to work if you can't work from home'.

Garden centres can stay open

One more rugby training session, I’m a pro player but I don’t think we’ll come under the elite catergory.

I’m going to the library on Monday to stock up on books for my son

Redwolf1 Sun 01-Nov-20 08:43:08

I want to buy some stamps and birthday cards and I'll probably get Christmas cards to start writing while I'm stuck indoors. Will also print off a lil pic of my dds to go inside some cards this year

I wish I had got the DC's hair cut last week, but there are unlikely to be any appointments now. I am going to town on Monday to buy things. In our house Father Christmas brings small, stocking-filler sized things from shops like B&M, Tiger etc which will be hard to do online. Also, children's clothes I found hard to get in the previous lockdown. The best selection for my DC was in H&M, I ordered loads but they only sent 3 items with no explanation so I want to go there.

Goldensunnydays81 Sun 01-Nov-20 08:47:18

Nowhere, I’m in isolation 😭 so will already have a week of that before lockdown begins!

Oldraver Sun 01-Nov-20 09:23:18

OH bought some jeans and is having them shortened. Going to try and get them back

Of course it would be when his others have given up the ghost

Lardlizard Sun 01-Nov-20 09:24:39

Golden bad timing

I might call into one or two of small local shops to buy a couple of early Christmas presents. Don't want to end up giving all my seasonal shopping money to Amazon.

Considering getting a few more gym sessions in before they have to close, too, but not sure, as I am quite worried about the virus, and our area is high risk.

UnitedRoad Sun 01-Nov-20 18:22:31

I wanted to get some packs of tissue paper but my daughter picked me up some today so I’m sorted!

AuntieMarys Sun 01-Nov-20 18:26:14

Nails, hair and facial booked. Last meal out Wednesday.

DinosApple Sun 01-Nov-20 18:30:21

I'm guessing Home Bargains will stay open (stocking fillers needed).

Realistically I need at least 5 tip trips because we'll be moving in the next 4 weeks...
However, I can only book one per week at the moment, and I'm not sure it counts as essential during the next lockdown.

Everything else will be ordered online.

OublietteBravo Sun 01-Nov-20 18:35:34

I booked a haircut for DD for tomorrow morning (she doesn’t have to be at college until lunchtime).

I need to go to the Post Office tomorrow to deal with some returns.

Fortunately I went to the hygienist last week.

Waiting to see if my eye test goes ahead on 9 November.

JellyBabiesSaveLives Sun 01-Nov-20 18:36:37

The guidelines currently say you “can and should travel for a number of reasons, including ... visiting venues that are open”.

There you go. You should travel to Home Bargains to buy stocking fillers.

JellyBabiesSaveLives Sun 01-Nov-20 18:40:25

My hairdresser moved my appointment to Monday so doing that. I’m expecting Specsavers to be open next week to pick up ds2’s new glasses. Our dentist has yet to reopen so our teeth are just gonna have to fall out.
Tomorrow I’m going swimming too. I may go Tuesday and Wednesday too!

mizu Sun 01-Nov-20 18:43:37

sadat work so will be doing no shopping of any sort.

PhylisPrice Sun 01-Nov-20 18:44:43

Buy my nearly 2 year old the next size up in wellies. Random but we do a lot of walking anyway and online shopping seemed to have big delays during the last lockdown and and I don't want to have to risk waiting weeks for a pair and ruining his good shoes in the meantime!

FredaFox Sun 01-Nov-20 18:48:13

Got my nails booked in and I really need to go the post office, been putting it off
Do post offices stay open during lockdown?! I can’t remember last time, assume they do

mizu Sun 01-Nov-20 18:49:41

Hope the post offices stay open, sure they will, they definitely did last time.
