If you wanted to and could move to any country in the world (irrespective of visas and Brexit and all of that) where would you go?

Also including, just being able to live 6 months in the other country and 6 months at home to see friends/family etc. And being able to work in both or afford it otherwise.

Pure fantasy land!

New Zealand.
Beautiful, currently led by a responsible, socialist administration, what’s not to love

I can definitely see the attraction of New Zealand, but it's just such a long way from everyone else? Perhaps that's the biggest part of the appeal for you?

At the moment I live in a city of more than 8 million people, I honestly can't imagine living in a whole country with a smaller population.

Costa Rica. I’ve never been but read so many positive things.

Can honestly say, I can't think of one. Germany probably, if pushed.

NZ/UK. Not 6 months and 6 months though. 3, 3, 3, 3, alternating, and skip the shitty weather of each. All skiing and sunshine. ⛷🏖 And family, fucking covid. Would have to fly business for the regular jetlag though!

Home - Denmark. I love Copenhagen, it’s my happy place. And I love the little town where my grandparents lived.

Isn’t there a big hole in the ozone layer above NZ? I don’t think my pale skin would cope well. Stunning country, though.

I quite fancy Switzerland, or a remote island in Fiji with white sand beaches.

Another vote for New Zealand here. I love the place, and have family there. I'd have emigrated years ago, but couldn't persuade dh.

We prefer "sun roof".

I always wanted to move to Florida or California... wouldn’t go if you paid me now.

Probably Italy, what’s not to love!

I think I'd go to somewhere in Greece. Just got to research my islands first Smile. But it would only be for part of the year, I have a lot of affection for my rainy old home country.

I always was desperate to go to the Blue Ridge mountains or similar having spent some brilliant holidays in log cabins there. However, that was pre-Trump. It horrifies me to see what he is doing and the people who support him are, IMO, insane. One said tonight that there is no point in wearing a mask if you are healthy. Totally missed the point, which is what I think many of his supporters are doing.

I think, therefore, my answer would be to buy somewhere remote in the U.K. and fence it well!

Another vote for New Zealand.

But this was true for me even pre covid.

I've family there, i even looked into it very seriously following split from ex wish I'd done it now. At the time I didn't want to take dd away from her dad but he was a useless twat about staying in touch anyway!

Good climate not as hot as aus, great governance, good work opportunities with much better work/life balance than Uk, GORGEOUS scenery, loads of outdoor activities and amazing culture

I've got 7 years to try on a work visa or maybe if I win the lottery (despite not playing Grin) I could go as an investor/entrepreneur

Ahhh we can but dream
