Best bedding?! Money no object

Has anyone got any tips for really great bedding? We want soft, but breathable?! Just about to buy our first place and want really good quality bedding. For the first time ever it's money no object - what's your preferences?!

We have only ever bought wilkos / primark bedding which has served us well for a long time now but we want the perfect bedding now!!

Share the wisdom please!

Ooh really? That's great news as their bedding seems reasonably priced as well! Thank you

Look for a high thread count, such as 800 count Egyptian cotton. Really luxurious and smooth.

White Company - like a luxury hotel bedding. I get it in the sake: still not cheap for two sets, but gorgeous and washes very well (unlike some other brands).

Disagree about thread count, though: 800 is too high - very heavy and stiff (someone told me this, but I bought it anyway and regretted it...). About 300 is just great.

A silk duvet is a game changer, light and warm. Goose down pillows.

I hate silk so it really is preference. Think about what you like. Cool and slippery, silk. Warn and cosy, flannel. Crisp and hard, high thread count cotton.

What do you like?

I use white company only. It’s expensive initially but it lasts very well and is deliciously crisp when freshly laundered. They have quite good sales.

I like some new bedding I got from Dunelm - white Dorma 400 count... just divine!

My only stipulation for bedding is 100% cotton... absolutely no polyester or cotton mixes... don’t be fooled by poly cotton etc

Enjoy!

Best set here is John Lewis 400 thread count Egyptian cotton. It's like getting into a posh hotel bed.

So much so we decided to ditch all the cheap sets and just have 2 really good, plain white ones we rotate.

As said already, Frette and Yves Delorme. Beautifully soft 100% cotton. And gorgeous to look at too.

I recently bought from The Linen Cupboard in Yorkshire and the bedding is amazing.

When I went to stay at SOHO Farmhouse - everything about their bedding and the pillows was amazing and you can buy it in their shop.

So if money were no object that is where I would get it from. I still dream about this pillow
