Best flower delivery?

sparklefarts · 26/10/2020 18:26

I need to send flowers for two birthdays, budget of £40 each, both several hundred miles away

Am feeling overwhelmed by choice! Interflora, prestige , m&s or finding a local florist online - which would you go for?

Any strong feeling on the big 'main players'?

Thank you!

I had some flowers delivered today from Waitrose. Came standing up in a box, really well packaged and beautiful flowers.

Freddie's Flowers if the recipient is capable of arranging although they do provide a guide to arranging. Moonpig is very convenient, if you set up an account, they send discount vouchers.

Bloom and Wild (but not sure if they deliver to others, or if it’s just subscription)

I second Freddie's flowers! Lovely, different flowers and packaged really nicely. Also came with a booklet on how to arrange them which was lovely

I had a poor experience with Freddy's flowers, they didn't last even 2 days and sent dull/poor variety bouquet when I requested pet-friendly blooms.

On the other hand my mum and I have used Serenata Flowers really successfully. www.serenataflowers.com (can't do clicky links sorry)

Bloom and wild are nice. I had one bunch which where the roses never opened and they sent me a replacement bunch.

I'd go for a local florist for more bang for your buck. Maybe look in local Facebook group for ideas. Even better check out local Instagram. That's how I found a cake maker in America to send cakes to my friend.

I had a rubbish experience with Serenata in September. The roses were dead and the replacement they sent was not much better. I was embarrassed as they were a birthday gift for someone. I've used them before and they have been fab though so maybe I have been unlucky.

I've always had a good experience with flying flowers. Live abroad and order them for family in the UK and never had any issues

Bloom and Wild. I am on the second year of monthly letterbox flowers for my mum and she has not had a less than excellent bunch yet.
I have also sent good individual bunches from M & S.

Bloom and wild every time. I have a weekly subscription and have never had a dud bunch. They last for two weeks. They deliver to others too and are very easy to use. Have also found M and S good value and reliable.

I've always gone with Bloom and Wild. The flowers last for ages and the delivery is always brilliant (even if I order last minute the delivery date options are available). The best part is they do letterbox flowers so don't have to worry about recipient not being home.

They do have to arrange the flowers themselves though (although instructions are provided).

Another vote for Bloom and Wild.
I always use them to order gifts for others and the oocasional bouquet for myself. DH finally took the hint and got me a monthly subscription Grin
I always forget when in the month they are due, so it's a lovely surprise and I've never had an issue with any of the bouquets I've sent or received

Not sure but I don’t recommend Bloom and Wild. I picked out some gorgeous hand tied ones for my MiL. Cost about £45ish. They looked nothing like the picture, average at best. I was most disappointed.

Bloom and Wild. I've been sending my Aunt and Mum bouquets at intervals during the pandemic. They need arranging and aren't at their best for a couple of days which I like.
At the hottest part of the summer my Aunt received some flowers which didn't rally after unpacking. It took her a week to tell me as she was embarrassed. B and W do like a photo if possible but although I didn't have one they were just lovely and she had a new, better and bigger bouquet within 24 hours of me letting them know there's had been a problem
