We went to a farm today and someone had a danger nap on the drive home.

Wednesday we have a night away at a glamping site. Apart from that work as usual for me.

Self isolating with my whole family as I was told this morning that a client I saw on Friday has tested positive for Covid. FFS

Made two Christmas cakes and brownies. Went for a long walk. Watching Netflix. Playing cards later. Cooking lots of yummy food. Made a new soup recipe. Tidied out a cupboard. Put up Halloween decorations.

We are having a quiet one, it has been an intense half term and the kids are really happy pottering at home (with lots of screen time!). Happy to be led by them rather than trying to force too much!
Have a good, safe one everyone.

Trying to WFH and occupy the children and look after DH who has covid and has been really ill. Fun Hmm in fairness the children have been brilliant so far.

We are away at in-laws holiday cottage. Hoping we don't get any emails from school or work re self isolating. Would be a bit awkward.

Chilling, having too much screen time for all of us. A little school work every day for dcs. Cycling and swimming booked. Halloween party on Saturday for 4 in lieu of no trick or treating. Dh is off Thursday to Tuesday so looking forward to that.

Not a lot.

The weather’s shit and everything closed pretty much except supermarkets and they can’t sell non-essential items 🙄

Kids are having way too much screen time. I will cook the Christmas cake one day and they’ll carve pumpkins.

I’m so glad I booked annual leave back in April for this week (and i wasn’t allowed to cancel it)!

Self isolating now as dd was emailed to say someone is her class is confirmed COVID. So that’s totally fucked everything up

S2 is doing a history project and revising for assessments next week. In the mornings he's going to the gym and doing instrument practice.

(In the evenings he's playing computer games with his friends online)

I'm doing exactly what I do in the other weeks - though having said that, I got up before the alarm this morning and did a lot of housework, so maybe that's my holiday. A change is as good as a rest. Grin

We’re in Wales so literally nothing until November 9th and after that probably not much more.

I’m in Wales.

So mostly preventing my darling children from murdering each other whilst dragging them out for our permitted daily exercise in between torrential rain showers.

So much fun Grin

Dcs were off last week with dh, I'm off this week (I teach across the county border...it's annoying and useful in equal parts)

The dcs slobbed around a fair bit, went for a few walks and bike rides, attempted to rebuild a large Lego pirate ship (Ds14 offered ds11 £20 if they manage to rebuild and sell it on eBay!) and baked loads of bread (ds11 with dh). They visited Dh's parents on Friday when they'd been out of school for a full week and had a day with them at the seaside.

I'm planning to meet a couple of friends for walks and coffee, get my hair cut and catch up on work and jobs at home Netflix. I did venture into the shops today and got a few Christmas bits.

My son was supposed to go away a few days but that got cancelled due to a covid test (not us his GF's sister). He took a few days off work to go, so enjoying a his time off work and college as he is usually mega busy.
My daughter has loads of homework (why do teachers do that?). She also has to prepare for interviews and exams for her potential new schools.
I am trying to keep on top of the house - it's on the market and keeping it ready is exhausting! And also spending far too much time daydreaming about our next house...

Meant to be in Yorkshire but home as a school bubble burst and two of the DC are self isolating until Thursday. I am going for runs, tidying cupboards and baking. They are studying and playing video games. DP and I are going away for the night on Friday when they are with their dad, so that will be the highlight.
