Is it illegal to use software to spy on peoples Facebook's ???

So my ex is using is some sort of soft ware or spy ware to look at my fb see things like my friends list and photos he definitely is seening it had proof so puzzled as to how surely a breech of privercy and stalking and very creepy is this not a criminal offence?????

I don’t think he necessarily need spyware- I think it depends on not just your fb settings but your friends too. If you have yours locked down so only friends can see your stuff but one of your friends is set to let everyone see their stuff then he can go through their fb profile to look at yours.

I think FB is mostly public information isn’t it? So why would having software to give you updates be illegal? It’s no different from getting notifications from any other public website.

What proof do you have?
Maybe one of your friends is showing him your information. If there was software that could bypass Facebook controls wouldn't it be well known?

Did you share a computer with him? It is possible to add some kind of key logging app so it records everything you do, and get someone’s passwords that way. I don’t know exactly how it works but I know someone who used it to spy on their partner Hmm
