Lump on DD’s face. Really worried!! *pic attached

DD developed a small, slightly painful lump on her face about 6 weeks ago. I kept an eye on it, the pain went and the lump, looked less noticeable, although it was never very big or obvious in any case. Anyway, tonight DD is complaining of pain in the same area, only when pressed I think. You can see the lump in the pic. The area seems to look whiter than her other skin.

I know no one on here can give me a diagnosis but I’m just interested to hear if anyone has seen/ experienced anything like this before. I’m starting to worry.

Thanks so much for any advice.

Sweet little face

DD (10) has once or twice in years past had a soft little lump on her foot that was a tiny bit tender when pressed, but subsequently disappeared before we got round to investigating it further.

Might be a little cyst or she’s bumped it. Eye looks bruised too. Get GP to look at it if it’s still there next week.

Could be a cyst. I had one on my face years ago. I attacked it myself. Do not do this (although I did a pretty good job actually). Speak to her GP and see if it needs cutting out.

My hack job left a mark initially but there’s no mark or scar at all now so don’t worry about that.

A cyst or lipoma maybe.

Take her to the Gp. What an adorable face though

It’s really hard isn’t it.... she needs to see a GP and I’d take her on Monday morning if it were me.

Possibly a little cyst. My DD (now 15) had one years ago in a similar place. Being me, I was worrying about all kinds of sinister things, but nope - a cyst, which is incredibly common. I would make a GP appointment. If they give you a long wait you could always go to your local pharmacist just for an opinion. I've found them to be hugely helpful over the years and they've seen everything.
