Does anyone know what this rash could be?

I have a rash on my back. It is very itch and a bit sore. I thought maybe something had bitten me but it is spreading and I also have swollen glands.
I will send a pic to the my g.p service on Monday but just wondered if anyone had any ideas on how to soothe it.
It is on the right side of my back near my shoulder so it's difficult to get a proper look at it.

Does anyone know what this rash could be?

Could you go to a pharmacy and get it looked at? If it's a bite then they could sell you steroid cream to help the itching for now.

It looks like blisters on the photo, might be Shingles.

It looks like impetigo to me

I'd say that looks likes shingles, do you feel unwell?

I will go to the pharmacy tomorrow.
I never thought about impetigo or shingles as I just assumed it was a bite. dd has been taking photos of it for me and told me it had spread.

I don't feel unwell but I do feel a bit under the weather and my glands are swollen especially on the side the rash is on.

Does it follow a line? I think it looks like shingles. Ask your daughter to take a full picture of where the rash is.

If it is shingles you need the drug within the first two or three days, so don't delay getting advice.

Is it on one side?. Definitely looks like shingles - herpes zoster virus. Otherwise could be impetigo

Shingles. Looks very much like mine. Before the rash, I was very achy in the same area.

My first thought was shingles.

I agree with Shingles. Especially if its one side only.

Looks like when I had shingles a few weeks ago- it was accompanied by a weird tingling/ sunburn sensation in the same area and general lethargy/ headaches. I took anti virals and still not back to normal so I'd suggest being seen ASAP

Shingles. Itchy and sore are classic.

Please call and get it treated, don't wait until Monday.

Most certainly evolving shingles.

Contact your out of hours service tonight and start antiviral treatment as soon as practical.

I had an online g.p appointment and he wasn't 100% sure it was shingles as he said it usually goes round the side to the front. He has given me a prescription for anti virals as a precaution. I am going to contact my own g.p on Monday if it's no better.

When I had shingles it was just on my lower right back, nothing at the side or front. The antivirals really helped me so good that you’ve got them. Smile
