Teachers know what's happening but can't tell us

As members of the elite teachers are automatically told things by the government and instructed not to tell us little, marginalised folk.

They probably have secret briefings. Either that or elite champagne cocktail parties where they network with each other and exchange information about what the next lockdown rules will be.

The only reason ordinary people don't know exactly what is going to happen with lockdown rules tomorrow, next week, next month is that we are considered too lowly to be told.

I'm going to keep on starting threads until someone spills the beans and admits that they know there's going to be an October lock down.

How are they “automatically told”- some kind of chip in their teachery brain, or like an email newsletter?

Teachers are far from elites unfortunately, maybe the head teacher😂

Good idea I’m sure it’ll flush them out

Ooh, how exciting. I know several teachers, I'll question them immediately and make them spill the beans.

Are you on glue?
I can assure you we are always the last to be told anything!

Yep, I've got a cheap holiday booked in Barbados for January because I know.

Suck it up OP.

"elite champagne cocktail parties"

More like own-brand instant coffee and whatever's left in the biscuit tin while SLT drone on about the latest initiative that will apparently boost results like no other...

@EvaHoffman if only! A bit like at the beginning of lockdown wee Nicola made her announcements whilst we were all in class so no idea what's going on until the parents lined up to fill us in as we dismissed the kids ☹️

Teacher here. We are told at exactly the same time as the general public, ie the last minute. When lockdown happened in March we knew nothing until you knew. Same thing when it was announced that certain year groups would return to school in June. We sat and watched Bozo on the telly like everyone else.

Teachers are preparing contingency plans for home learning as the DFE guidelines have ordered that we do so.

As a teacher / member of the elite, I can confidently say that you're talking pish. I had a conference call earlier with prince philip, the rothschilds, my head of department and lewis hamilton and they said nothing of the sort.

Off to do my prep for tomorrow then pop down to Asda in my Ferrari to buy some cocktail sausages and have a secret info exchange with my be-masked colleague from Spanish in the bog roll aisle (she missed the Zoom meeting as she was writing something secret to the G7).
