Strangest thing you've found or what have you found in the strangest place?

This morning while walking down a super busy road in a built up area I found a baby chick. An actual fluffy, yellow, cheeping, Happy Easter, chick. It was just stood on the pavement watching the traffic speed by. An utterly bizarre WTF moment before I scooped him up in a muslin and took him home.

He's been collected by a local vets and will have a happy home with one of their staff.

But it made me wonder what weird, wonderful and whacky things others have found?

Strangest thing you've found or what have you found in the strangest place?

Oh that's adorable! Well done for taking care of it.
A family member of mine recently got out of their car and saw something out of the corner of their eye by the front wheel. They looked down at the wheel to find they had parked perfectly on top of a £20 note!

When I was about 13 my dad was a caretaker at a secondary school. We lived in a small house on the grounds.

One Saturday morning, I was woken by a loud mooing noise. I shouted at my brother to shut up, thinking it was him. It was only when the mooing continued that I realised it sounded really too ... cowish to be my brother. Looking out the window I saw at least 15 cows, wandering around the school campus. There was a farm not far away and overnight the cows had escaped and come for a visit 😂

I remember thinking I was hallucinating 😂

We were visiting an old Abbey and found an old shoe on a wall. The thing is, it was a really old shoe, possibly pre Victorian. It was very small, so probably a child's.

Found a St Francis charm on my bedroom carpet about a year after moving in...
Never seen it before in my life. Neither had any of my family!! It was on the rug we brought from the old house - so not from the new house. Bizarre.

I once saw a baby chick like that randomly in the canal ..floating along merrily!

Anyway my strangest story I’ve told on here before. I was seven and git a silver ring for my birthday. Against my Mums wishes I wore it to school ( this was int the 70s!). We went swimming and I put it safely in a pocket of my bag. When I got changed it had gone. I was so upset and dreaded telling my Mum. I kept quiet at first but when she called me fir tea I knew I had to tell her. As I walked into the room I saw something glinting in the sun. Yep..there was my ring . Never been able to explain it.

Woke up one morning to find a mole, still alive, on the front door step. Weird thing is, it appeared to be stuck on the mat but have no idea how it could of got there in the first place.

We took it to a local woodland, dug a little hole and left him to it!
I was all for leaving him under the hedge but our neighbour (with a very flat lawn) spotted it and was demanding we kill the poor thing Shock

Going through late df's stuff and so far I've found:

Commemorative stamps
200 year old coins
Chainsaw (no trees in his garden)
Porn on VHS
60 year old bag of weed
Amstrad computer
Antique teddy bear

And I'm only halfway through the house.

Was driving down a country lane late one night. The road was blocked by a cardboard box. I stopped and lifted box out of the way. A Jack Russell puppy walked out and went to my car, climbed on the back seat and went to sleep.

@Myhoodieslongerthanyours I'm sorry for your loss. Your father's belongings sound so I treating though! And how did you date the weed?!

@DustyMaiden tell me you gave it a home and it's currently age old and farting on your throw cushions as we speak.

I found its owner a few days later and took him home. They didn’t know how he got out or how he came to be in the box.

We recently found a safe in the floor of our garage, not managed to get a locksmith around yet but I’m intrigued to find out what’s in it!

Renovating old house and found a pair of ancient false teeth under the floorboards. They were stuck in ivory and looked horrendously mismatched.

My parents' house is very old, and when we were fixing the fireplace we found an ancient pair of trousers rolled up and stuffed between the stones. Apparently they used to put clothing items into walls to ward off evil!

When I was about 10, I tipped my head to the side and a small stone fell out of my ear. It was encased in earwax (EnvyConfused) and I had no recollection of putting it in there, so I assume it had been there since I was tiny.

Poor chick was probably heading for the macerater. It's about the age they throw unwanted male chicks from the egg industry alive into a blender.

My friend lost an earring when very young, maybe 3 or 4yrs old. In her late teens, she had a cold and when she blew her nose, out came the lost earring!!! Confused

I've recently bought a derelict house and found old porn magazine in a hidden hatch. Women had alot more hair then!!!
