I have a mountain to declutter. I take it from reading around that homeless charities don't want them?

Local vets or cat and dog home maybe? I usually donate mine to the Dogs Trust nearby.

Local animal shelters/wildlife sanctuaries will gladly take them.

Cut them up and use them as dusters/cleaning rags

Absolutely what I do. Better than buying j cloths.

Definitely animal shelters, vets etc.

Stick them on Facebook for free

Agree animal shelters will probably be glad of these

Yes to animal shelters for the towels. However, I would call them before taking the stuff along. I volunteer at a CP adoption centre and sometimes we can be overwhelmed by donations. The towels are appreciated and get used but there is a lack of storage space.

I give them to the local dog rescue.

Yes, any vet or animal charity. But as others say do call ahead first, they might already be overwhelmed with donations as people sorted so much out over lockdown.

Charity shops sometimes take 'rags', that's what I do with our old torn stuff.

Devlesko Tue 29-Sep-20 16:27:23

We have always used ours for rags, covers when decorating, that sort of stuff.
I'm an old softie and kept our first duvet cover we bought together. It's used to cover up grin
