I have £100-£150 to spend on a blanket/throw, any recommendations?

Hi all, home decor is very quiet so asking here.

I need a lovely snuggle blanket/throw to have over me on the sofa in the evenings. I don’t want anything wearable as I also get hot and need to throw it on and off during the evening. No itchy wool, something really soft and snuggly and hopefully quite nice looking draped over sofa in the day.

Anyone seen anything/have anything really nice? Any small brands in particular anyone could recommend?

I love the throw section in tk maxx
I’m sure you’d be able to find something and still have a bit of loose change

I second the throw section at Tk max. Home sense is also good if you have one near you. I got a really nice throw from there last year for about £30

Tesco had a beautiful one in their bedding section last week, think it was £40 so more than average for supermarket but worth it. Their bedding is very good.

Search for an alpaca wool blanket, not itchy like sheep's wool, light, soft and warm.

I struck lucky in TK Maxx last year and picked up a lovely throw made from baby alpaca wool (not actually from baby alpacas). It was only about £30 but when I looked for more baby alpaca I can’t find it for under £100.

Anyway, look for baby alpaca is my message, so soft, so cosy, like cashmere but less fluffy.

I have been coveting this recently:

Buy a cheaper one and splash out on a decent Chateau Pape.

Are you allergic to wool or just don't want an army blanket? Bronte, Knockando, Melin Tregwynt all do lovely soft throws.

Saw an amazing soft one in Dunelm yesterday for £50

I got a lovely one with a geometric pattern in golden yellow and white from Amazon last year - it's 100% cotton and that's what makes it so amazing. It doesn't get static-y like manmade fibres and it's not itchy like wool, plus it's easy to wash.
