Feeling so down

Just that really. Feel like shit. Work piling up and looming over me, no energy to do it or engage with it. Just find myself getting irritated by my DH and lovely 4 year old. No energy or enthusiasm to do any of the hobbies I usually like. Just want to sit on my own on the sofa watching repeats of The OC, wishing I was 17 and that Seth Cohen was my boyfriend (I'm 30!!). Every time my DH or my son talk to me I feel annoyed with them..

I know I'm depressed but I don't know what to do about it. I dont want to take anti depressants as all they did when I took them before was make me fat.

Feel like this is never ending and there is nothing to look forward to.

Sweetheart, it's going to be ok.

You're exhausted and feel irritable. Are you eating ok and do you get any time to yourself?

Hey OP, I didn't want to read and run. How long have you felt like this? Have you spoken to anyone in RL?

Do you manage to get much time on your own, maybe that you can get out for a decent walk or some other form of exercise? I strongly believe that fresh air and moving can work wonders when I lose enthusiasm for life, although I do have to push myself out of the door at times.

Thanks x

Thanks for replying

I take a long walk every day and it used to help but not any more

I just want to cry and to hide from work

Time to get help. It doesn’t have to be medication, see your GP they can refer you to talking therapies. Just telling someone how you feel can help. And most of all don’t judge yourself, this is an illness, you can’t help it.

I've had so much counselling in my life

It always ends up the same way

I don't even want to eat any more. I've lost half a stone in 2 weeks. I don't think it's ever been this bad.
