Anyone else still waiting for their holiday refund?

We booked our summer holiday well before Covid was in the news. Mallorca so unclear for ages if we were going or not and in the end it was cancelled at a week’s notice. This was mid/late August and we are still waiting for our refund. Anyone else?

Had a holiday booked end of June (booked last November) which obv got cancelled - think mid April time - and it took ages to get the refund but we got it after about 6/7 weeks. They must have had a huge backlog of refunds so it will take some time. We had an email confirming they would refund it so had that for proof if any issues but there weren't... we just had to be patient.

Thanks, patience is not really in my nature Wink. Irritatingly they send me emails daily with special offers for winter holidays and summer 2021. I daren’t block them in case I miss an important message about the refund!

Still waiting, supposed to fly in march...a flight was changed by a few hours then cancelled, so I had a valid claim in spite of all the covid problems. Been told last week up to 120 days, was up to 90 when I spoke just over a month ago. Been phoning since the day before our flights. Owed over a grand. The 'agent' are insisting they are waiting for the airline to refund them, despite this not being my problem as my contract is with the agent...airline is currently in bankruptcy court and not paying out anyone...Thai Airways.

EDREAMS HAVE CONSISTENTLY LIED AND STALLED WHILE BREAKING THE LAW.

That’s really worrying. It’s a lot of money to lose!

Flights for April, cancelled in March by Ryanair. Their website said they'd cleared 90% but we are still waiting Angry

Just this evening I have contacted On The Beach about our Ryanair flights which were cancelled in June, waiting for them to come back although noticed on Ryanair website if you complete a customer verification form you can apply direct, may do this if OTB fob me off. Anyone had a refund from On the beach?

Flights with Virgin cancelled (at least I assume they were, we never heard either way) in May. Not a sausage since - we’ve just lodged a s75 claim with the credit card people to cover our bases.

I'm waiting for a refund from my credit card provider of a deposit for a holiday I should have been on in late July. The holiday company went bust before then, in May, which is when I made the claim. I've chased several times.

We booked and paid £5k for Virgin flights last November.
Due to fly in July but the flights were cancelled.
Still waiting for a refund.
It’s disgusting.

We did the same after being ignored by virgin. S75 claim went in, full refund within three weeks from the credit card. Virgin finally got their finger out last week and refunded the cc company but were helpfully £80 short which we're now fighting to have returned.

When I rebook my flights it's not going to be with them.

Further to above - I got a letter from the card provider this morning to say that my claim had been processed, and a refund of £6500.00 would be made to my account.
I was extremely pleased, because the deposit I'd paid was £65.00! Grin

Have people had refunds from airlines where they had booked flight only?

We've had accommodation refunds from HomeAway and HolidayLettings within a week of cancellation .

Jet2 for our flights allowed us to rebook flights for next year and also change our destination (although apparently the operator shouldn't have offered the destination change) but we weren't offered a refund .

We had to request a refund rather than a credit note/ change of flight.

Our s75 claim clearly had some effect, we heard from the agent that Virgin have confirmed our refund, but it will take another 6 weeks to be processed.

We had a March ski holiday with Mark Warner cancelled. Despite many letters and the law on our side, we Only got our money back a few weeks ago after we'd started online small claims proceedings against them.

We’d booked our holiday with Virgin, due to fly mid-May and cancelled two weeks before. We received the refund two weeks ago.
