Still waiting for a refund from Ryan Air?

Has anyone had any Joy escalating this to a regulator? I’m still waiting for a refund for flights that were cancelled in April and June.

I’d like to give Ryan Air one more chance (but also threaten to escalate it to a regulator) and if they don’t give me a refund, make a formal complaint to the regulator.

I’d have to be desperate to book a flight with Ryan Air again. I got a refund from Easy Jet in 4 weeks, so I don’t know what Ryan Aur are playing at.

I eventually got ours after hassling them on live chat for around the 5th time. I had to tell them each time that I didnt want the voucher.

I contacted them via the resolver website and got a refund the next day. Worth a try.

We ended up going through a solicitor who specialises in suing Ryan Air, it cost us something like 20%, but I wasn't prepared to let shysters like Ryan Air get away without paying what they owe.

I wonder how many people are not booking future flights because Ryan Air think they are above the law and won’t refund for cancelled flights.

I’d have to be absolutely desperate to fly with Ryan Air again. I will fly with easyJet where possible, as they refunded promptly.

Still waiting for a refund for flights in March. Complained twice through website- told to keep waiting. I will never book with them again.

I got mine ages ago. I got on live chat and said I don't accept the voucher and they refunded me. Must have been July or August?

I'm still waiting. Am going to try the suggestions here

@Zazagabor

We’re still waiting for Ryan Air to refund for April and June cancelled flights. EasyJet have already refunded for other flights booked for June. Now that Ryan Air have demonstrated that they will not abide by the law and refund for cancelled flights, how do they expect anyone to have enough faith to book with them again.

I’ve just gone to my credit card company for flights in March. Hoping to get a charge back. If not, I’ll try the regulator

But they are refunding. They offered vouchers and if you don't accept the voucher you'll get a cash refund. I don't know why you're still waiting, get back to them.

Who’s the regulator?

@CodenameVillanelle

We’ve tried them several times on live chat and asked for a full refund. A few hours later we receive an email asking us to accept vouchers - which we don’t.

Don't give them one more chance. Report to the regulator.

There's a face book page ('Ryanair cancelled my flight' or something) which will gives you links/tips. The best results seem to be to go on live chat, not via the website, and you have to state you want a cash refund, when you get offered a voucher again go back on live chat and refuse the voucher and ask for cash.
They don't seem to advertise the live chat site.
I got mine back about 6 weeks after. Very lucky I know.

We’re still waiting too. Was meant to fly in April. They seem to change the rules on how to claim your refund every time you go on their bloody website. I used live chat just over a week ago and was told that it had been processed via charge back with my bank and has been processed...I’m not sure how because I didn’t book directly with Ryan Air, I used love holidays so Ryan Air don’t even know who I bank with, let alone the details of the account they’re sending it back to! They told me to fill yet another form out to their account department 🙄 I’m going to get in touch with them again this weekend.

I got a refund for my cancelled july flights today, i still can't quite believe it! When my flights were cancelled i was offered a voucher with an option to refuse and seek a refund, i submitted the form, was sent a voucher anyway then heard nothing. About a week ago i went onto their website and followed a link that said if you wanted to reject your voucher to click and refund would follow within two weeks. I didn't quite believe it but the money is actually in my account!

I posted about this and the advice was to use live chat on Ryanair website. However, I do now eventually have my refund after refusing voucher for the second time and applying for refund for the third time. I first applied for refund in May.

Like others, I will never choose to fly with Ryanair again.

That's strange! I had to chase up once on chat, but only because one my cancelled flights hadn't been acknowledged. Got both my refunds a couple of weeks ago. Flights were booked for March and April.

Did you book directly with Ryanair?
Just got mine back from May. I emailed every person at Ryanair whose email
Address I could find

Yes, booked directly.

I’ll have a read through the suggestions. Will try live chat one more time and point out that I will be taking it further, if I don’t get a refund.
