I keep looking at the app and I am tempted but something in the back of my mind is stopping me.
Is it safe?
Do you miss the money?
Would you recommend it?

I would recommend it. I dont miss the money at all and it's amazing how quickly the money builds up. You can change settings anytime to say whether you want it to take low amounts, middle or high. Never had an issue. And it regularly asks you to reconnect your account for security etc. You can withdraw your money quickly and easily.

yes, I do - its brilliant. As said above you can choose the level of saving, or even turn off automatic saving (although then it becomes a bit pointless!) You can withdraw the money (back into your bank account) at any time and it is there the same day when you need it for something. I have already done some of my Christmas shopping using what I had set aside so far this year in plum Grin

Is this a money saving app? Sounds interesting
I currently use Chip

I started it at the end of last month and already have £40 in it. I'd never have said I had that much to spare. I haven't missed it at all.

I also have Chip but prefer Plum it's more intuitive, user friendly and more accessible customer service. Also with plum I can connect two current accounts. And the app has useful icons showing how much of your money is being spent on bills, supermarket etc each month.

I do as of beginning of August. I haven’t noticed the money which is incredible. The app is really good too.

Definitely going to use it. It sounds exactly what I need.
Is it compatible with Lloyds?

Is this a thing where it sweeps the left over money in your bank into a savings account?

No.

I have used for over 2yrs when had less features and was still fairly new. I haven't had any issues with it and saved more than I ever could independently tbh. Check out their faqs about security etc. Never been shorted by it in terms of it taking money out of my account if I needed it and if an unexpected expense happened money transfers really quickly. They now have a form savings pockets at 0.6% but I only use that for long terms savings goals.

If you sign up it is worth joining plum squad on fb to keep up to date with features or technical issues or for general quiestions.

I started using this in May, can recommend. Have saved around £300 already without missing it, unheard of for me! Easy to set up too. Haven't withdrawn any of it yet though, will be used for Christmas.

Yep, I started about 6mo ago and somehow have £500ish in savings - which is astonishing as I definitely haven't noticed it. I would strongly recommend - I've also taken about £200 to buy things, and it's been replenished.

I also use Monzo's roundup service where they round up every transaction to the nearest £1. I've saved about £300 that way as well, it's on my 'spending' account so there are more transactions through there but it's also worth doing.

@quarentini yes I use it with Lloyds.
