This greeted me as I left for work, it's huge even scrunched you it's about the size of a £2 coin.

I'm used to the giant house spiders that are dark brown but this dude is a new one for me.

It’s just a Common Orb Web spider, the most prolific spider to be seen in gardens in late summer. Probably a female.

Just a regular garden spider. They can nip though so best handled carefully (if at all)
