Recently moved into my new home and am intrigued by what animal(s) are leaving these turds all over my garden. There seems to be a new one appearing at least every other day and there are lots, but I don't own a pet so they're from something coming into the garden. The fences are all round and about 5' high, and the only gap is about 5" underneath my gate. Any ideas?

Defo cat poo I'd say as wild animals tend to have more bits in them! And not so refined 😂

Not a fox, fox poo is darker and sticky

Small dog bites not from what you say and do a cat on a wet food diet / it is a very light coloured poo

I was going to say fox or cat. If it is a cat, it would help to keep your grass way short, they don't usually just lay a log like that, as they like to dig and cover, odd that the grass hasn't been scratched.....

Fox poo is truly vile and very strong smelling. It's sort of sticky.

Thanks everyone Smile
It doesn't smell strongly at all, and it makes sense if it's cat poo. My neighbours have 2 and I've seen them in the garden. Maybe I should chuck it over the fence seeing as it's probably theirs Wink

Well, last night I looked out of my window and there, sat on my lawn, was one of my NDN's 2 cats, so I suspect that's the culprit Hmm Not good news as I'm a keen gardener and plan to grow my own veg there next year, and I've had cat issues in a previous home (digging up my carefully sown seed beds, burying turds in borders which I then find when weeding [puke] etc). Thankfully NDNs are moving out in a few weeks so owner can move back in and I really hope that he doesn't have cats too! Trying very hard not to get tense about it as I love my new home and this would be a potential big source of frustration Sad
