Me. Sprouts, shallow fried in garlic oil and coated with a bit of honey and Marmite, are the food of the gods. Sprout and bacon soup, or sprout and blue cheese soup, is delicious as well.

Me! I love them raw tbh. Only allowed to eat raw when DH is out because they make me fart for England.

I do them roasted in olive oil with pomegranate molasses and sea salt. Love the sound of @TwoZeroTwoZero ‘a recipes too.

Love them, all year round. I win the sprout eating competition every Christmas at family dinner

I only eat them at Christmas because I like things to be special in that way. Love them hot. Love them cold. Love them again in bubble and squeak.

If you want traditional Christmas sprouts like Grannie used to make, I'm afraid you're too late - they should have been on to boil during the first week of September . . . .

Prokupatuscrakedatus Mon 14-Sep-20 17:20:49

We eat them when they are in season (definitely not for Christmas - not the tradition here).

DD prefers them with pepper and butter, I like them with chili sauce.

Witchend Mon 14-Sep-20 17:29:57

Probably the only food dd gets excited about when she sees them in shops.
They're my favourite too.

I love them, no defiance from me. Sprout eaters unite!

BillyMurphy Mon 14-Sep-20 17:33:03

I love them too. Don't understand folk that find them disgusting. I've never thought about growing them though. I shall investigate.

AlCalavicci Mon 14-Sep-20 17:33:14

I like them too quite happy with them just boiled or steamed , Its hard to get hold of the though sad

MJMG2015 Mon 14-Sep-20 17:34:53

Sprouts are THE best!!!

Waitrose do small packets of baby sprouts, I have been known to have an embarrassing number of packets in my trolley!!

I love them roasted in olive oil. I deliberately take some of the leaves off so they're super crunchy!!!

Redshoeblueshoe Mon 14-Sep-20 17:35:50

Love them

BettyCarver Mon 14-Sep-20 17:36:21

I think it's people who grew up with them being boiled for a fortnight!

There's apparently a scientific reason for it. & people who can't stand them won't like certain other specific things either. Cilantro I think?! (Sorry my memory seems to have left the building these days!!£

With bacon and garlic, oh yes!
