Anyone had the drive through covid test help please?!

I managed to get a test online for a test. Centre an hour away for this afternoon. Have a screenshot of the time and place.

BUT no email or text to confirm and when I hit confirm it looped back to the front of the website. No one answering he helpline I’ve been on for an hour.

So do I drive an hour show the screenshot and hope?? Or are you supposed to get a confirmation through??

I think that means it hasn’t been booked - that happened to me yesterday and I’ve assumed that means someone else’s had booked the slot in the meantime. I then managed to get another slot at a different site and for that I got the email and text confirmation. So unfortunately I think it means your booking failed.

Who knows! I’ve been trying to get a test for two days, about 16 hours online and 12 attempts by phone, currently on loudspeaker on another attempt by phone...the last attempt just cut off after an hour. If I had symptoms (currently just the rest of the household) I’m not sure I’d have the energy to persevere. I get the impression the system isn’t working too well (understatement!!)...good luck!

I am in exactly this position with an appointment I booked for ds today. We are going to drive 40mins to the test site and see what happens I think.

I booked a test and got a qr code

When I booked the test on the website the confirmation had a QR code on it, and then I also got an email with it on. So your confirmation screenshot should have a QR code?

Tbh I would be tempted to go, they will most likely still test you

They wont accept the screenshot, We drove couple of hours away and they sent us away and the test was for my 1 & 3 year old. You need to have email or text.. Ring 119 I got my new app through them for same day

No QR code at all do assume it isn’t booked.

An hour and counting on the phone on hold to 119.

Anyone would have thought they might have planned for a back to school everyone has a fucking cold situation wouldn’t you?

Eldest daughter now screaming and smashing things because her sister means she’s out of her new school again and can’t make friends. This isn’t fucking worth it it really isn’t.

This happened to me once. I showed them the email I get telling me about the test. I didn't get s QR code. They tested me anyway.

I had the same yesterday-didn’t get an email or anything but pitched up anyway. They said it has happened numerous times that day and got me to phone 119 to get the qr code-however, after being on hold for 45mins and them then putting the phone down on me, I said this is ridiculous why can’t you just do it anyway—especially as all of the staff working there were doing fuck all but sun bath— and they were in fact able to do it-I just had to register my bar code when I got home

Jesus Mrs that’s ridiculous!! Thing is I know the airport one near me is empty most of the time because my sister works nearby, but no, a “maybe” appointment in a town an hour away!!!

119 have admitted to me that there are system issues with the booking and registration process.

It's nothing short of completely appalling.

Managed to get through to 119, and it’s as Wheres says, all they do is go onto the same system as the online, he says he has booked only 4 appointments all day and most have them have done what it has done to me, bounced back round to unconfirmed. He couldn’t help me.

Says if I turn up I’ll get turned away.

UPDATE - we went anyway, they did the test based on screenshot and asked for the QR code afterwards. Which we didn’t have so they just gave us a slip of paper to register it likeMRS said.

DD age 6 vomited copiously everywhere but it’s done so let’s see.
