PQA or Stagecoach?

My DS (9) has been attending a drama group for a few years. He's pretty good and enjoys it. School have been impressed with his acting ability and it's helped his confidence. He has said he'd like to start auditioning for parts in theatre/tv etc (I'm under NO illusions about the likelihood of this).
Unfortunately, the group he currently attends is disbanding as the teacher has had to change her job.
I'm now looking at him joining PQA or Stagecoach. Both are local to us and the cost is similar.
Can anyone shed any light on how they chose between the two please?

We prefer PQA as Stagecoach felt a bit cut-throat.

To be represented by PQA is a further cost on top of lessons, and isn't guaranteed. It's called Quirky Kids. I'm sure they'll fill you in.

We really like PQA because of the activities that the kids get to do. The film & tv section is particularly interesting because they get to learn how to work the cameras and shoot as well as being in front of them. There seems to be regular guests from childrens tv/newsround for masterclasses on this.

They usually try and do a spring show and a winter show- obviously up the spout at the moment. But my daughter was in a big panto last year in an enormous venue and I think it's probably one of her favourite memories of anything ever.

Purely from an enjoyment factor it ticks lots of boxes for us.

What they offer is a bit different. They both offer 3 different sessions but stagecoach organise it into drama, dance and singing whereas PQA have two sessions on acting including comedy and one on musical theatre. It depends what your son would enjoy more.

My DS is with stagecoach and loves it. It's a very nurturing environment with no pressure - he was worried beforehand about being made to perform in shows etc and it's very relaxed
