Period pains feel like labour

Motherofmonsters · 28/08/2020 18:27

I think my first period since having DD 11months is on the way and it is so painful.

It literally feels like I'm in labour.

Is there anything I can do to bring it on hoping that might ease it a bit.

Not to alarm you but it definitely isn’t labour, is it?

Was thinking the same as pp... Any chance it could actually be labour...?

A bath to ease the pain?

Also ditto pp above - definitely not labour?

Urgh. You have my sympathy. My first period after having a child was like being excavated with a red hot rusty spoon.

Funnily enough I thought I was pregnant a couple months ago and had a very faint positive in a cheap test but never had another one.

Im 99% sure it's just my period coming

😳😳😳 I would alternate paracetamol and ibuprofen, get a hot water bottle and pray it is just a period! And of course see your GP if it carries on, are you breastfeeding?

No belly and I've been drinking tea. I went off tea completely in my other pregnancies

I don't have a hot water bottle but I think I've got one of those microwavable dogs somewhere so will try that.

My boiler is broken so I have no hot water so that's a bath out
