Period pains feel like labour

I think my first period since having DD 11months is on the way and it is so painful.

It literally feels like I'm in labour.

Is there anything I can do to bring it on hoping that might ease it a bit.

Not to alarm you but it definitely isn’t labour, is it?

ScottishStottie Fri 28-Aug-20 19:13:37

Was thinking the same as pp... Any chance it could actually be labour...?

ComeOnEileen11 Fri 28-Aug-20 19:14:34

A bath to ease the pain?

Also ditto pp above - definitely not labour?

Erm..... first period for 11 months...

It’s not another baby is it?

Urgh. You have my sympathy. My first period after having a child was like being excavated with a red hot rusty spoon.

Funnily enough I thought I was pregnant a couple months ago and had a very faint positive in a cheap test but never had another one.

Im 99% sure it's just my period coming

Ummm ha omg, is this going to turn in to a live birthing thread.

ShirleyPhallus Fri 28-Aug-20 19:22:25

<definitely not place marking in case this is a live birth thread>

Cheesecakejar Fri 28-Aug-20 19:23:00

😳😳😳 I would alternate paracetamol and ibuprofen, get a hot water bottle and pray it is just a period! And of course see your GP if it carries on, are you breastfeeding?

Motherofmonsters Fri 28-Aug-20 19:23:11

No belly and I've been drinking tea. I went off tea completely in my other pregnancies

My pp period arrived a few days ago and I was so nervous having heard horror stories but it was totally normal. It returned just 2 months after birth thou.

Motherofmonsters Fri 28-Aug-20 19:34:31

cultkid Fri 28-Aug-20 19:45:36

Dialute it in water

Motherofmonsters Fri 28-Aug-20 19:46:27

I can't actually be in labour, they'll be signs I was pregnant. I'm also breastfeeding to

Hot water bottle works best for me

Pinkflipflop85 Fri 28-Aug-20 19:48:41

Breastfeeding isnt an effective contraceptive

Motherofmonsters Fri 28-Aug-20 19:50:31

I don't have a hot water bottle but I think I've got one of those microwavable dogs somewhere so will try that.

My boiler is broken so I have no hot water so that's a bath out
