What do YOU do that would drive you mad

if anyone else did it?

I never set the microwave for 2 minutes, or whatever the packaging says - I just get it going for any old random amount of time with the result that I either need to keep putting it in again, or end up with it boiled over/scalding hot and have to wait half an hour for it to be safe to consume! If anyone else in my family did that I'd think they were a total lemon, but it's me, so I let myself continue doing it.

What about you?

Lose things. Put things away and then forget where I've put them. Drop things constantly. Panic driving anywhere new.

I never put the exact amount of sugar into my coffee. I kind of take a spoonful, shake some off, then take a smaller amount and shake some of that too. I wonder if this is some sort of pretense I’m creating - for myself that I put less sugar than I actually do. Or maybe it’s the “witch cooking by eye” Sprinkling just thre right amount each time. Because every brew is special :)

Whenever someone offer me a coffee and asks how much sugar I never know what to say!

I’m sure if I came across this with anyone else I’d say they were bonkers!

I leave everything at my arse, but also castigate the DC for leaving things lying around. I am a terrible role model for anything involving housekeeping.

Read my Kindle Paperwhite long into the night, the screen is very low light so not too evil but pre Kindles, I used to read with the bedside light on long into the night. I’d hate that the other way around.
Luckily DH could fall asleep on a washing line.

Yeah, that's me. I think I get over enthusiastic about what people are saying - it's kind of a compliment. If I consciously stop myself doing it, I get told I'm being a bit 'quiet'!

(If someone is talking absolute bollocks, I go really quiet.)

I interrupt people. I also talk too much. I go off on tangents. When I'm anxious especially it's an endless stream of words.

I don't pick up after myself, I just about put the lid back on the toothpaste. But beyond that? You can tell where I have been by the trail of destruction.

When I get excited my voice gets all high pitched and squeaky. Sometimes if I laugh I will end up snorting with laughter and hiccoughing to, I am a mess basically.

I often miss my mouth with drinks and spill them down my front.

I put things down and lose them instantly. I then blame everyone else.

I sing along to the radio even when I don't know the words, or sometimes the tune.

Most of these are things I used to see my mum doing, whilst trying to teach me better and now I do the same with my kids. It's like a family curse of over eagerness and untidiness. We are loud, creative, messy people. Colouring inside the lines is our battle.

Me too Blush especially as above, I go completely mute when people talk crap. I do try not to interrupt but its because I'm excited to share my contribution!

Despite not being able to drive, when I’m in the passenger seat I just can’t help putting up my hand to thank other drivers, even when it’s their right of way! So annoying.

Grind my teeth at night! It's a horrible habit and I can't stop it! I have Invisalign at the moment so it's temporarily not an issue but I know I will go back to doing it once they're off.

I’m awful to live with.

A glass/cup can only be used once, they then must be left in weird/awkward places until there are no drinking vessels left.

I’m very noisy, I’m either on piano and often singing very badly, doing weights (known as gruntersize), watching loud stupid videos etc. I often narrate what I’m doing, this does drive people insane so I tend to do it in Urdu now so its easier for people to ignore. Quiet does not exist in this home, I hate other people making noise.

I’m fairly clumsy and have lots of houseplants (25ish), at least one a day gets knocked leaving compost everywhere.

Hair, the bathroom is always very hairy, it often looks like I have shaved Chewy in the shower. I out did myself recently by arranging the hair into a heart, so I could be both romantic and disgusting at the same time.

Crumbs etc should not remain in the kitchen after cooking, you must clean the kitchen immediately, if someone made me do that I would tell them to stop being a twat.
