hello again 🙄
How much milk is everyone's newborn drinking? I have a 2 week old, on average he's going 3 hours and having 3ozs at a time. But then after a hour/hour and half hes crying and screaming, the only thing that takes it off is more milk! But then he will only drink an oz and falls fast asleep! There is 4ozs in his bottle at a time but stops drinking after 3 ozs x

Four weeks old here. I am breastfeeding and pumping. I don't know how much she takes from the breast, but the two pumped feeds her dad gives her in the evening have both gone from 120 at three weeks to 150ml now. She was 9lbs 7oz at birth though, so quite a big baby.

He might not be truly hungry but using the bottle as a comfort to go to sleep? Does he always fall asleep after the second one?

I havent bottle fed but both my babies would want milk in order to help them get to sleep even if they werent really hungry.

Are you giving him a good wind when he stops eating in case that's what's making him feel full? Otherwise you could try offering a pacifier to satisfy his need to suck. If you look at the Lullaby Trust guidelines, dummies help to prevent SIDS when used for naps and sleep.

Not that you have to use one if you don't want to of course, but they're not all bad is what I mean Smile
