I'm being eaten alive!

What the hell is eating me this year?! Honestly, I have been bitten in the past by bugs but this year I seem to have been savagedSad

I have had a massive saucer-sized swelling from a bite on my leg, several bites around my foot that has resulted in the top of my foot being swollen for a week now, and now I have around 8 welts around my chest and neck.

It's getting me down! They look horrible☹️

Do the bites have “heads”? If so, what colour? Do they itch? Are they painful? Can you see any visible puncture marks?

Also, have you ever taken a reaction to bites before? Does an antihistamine help? Have you applied any creams etc?

They have heads, but it's the speed at which the swelling seems to spread! No puncture marks as such but yes the ones on my foot were incredibly itchy.
I took piriton and it helped for a bit but not much really. Just slapped savlon type cream on!

Literally been outside for an hour earlier and have two more lumps on my collar boneAngry

You might be taking a reaction to midgy bites, or perhaps horse/grey flies? Those those bites are supposed to be painful so you may have felt it if it was that. Probably worth going into your local chemist and asking to speak to the pharmacist. Even if they’re unable to identify them they might be able to help with clearing the bites up

Do mosquitoes like you? I have been sustaining a colony all on my own this year.

Try Anthisan cream, I think it’s the warm humid weather as I’ve had loads of bites this year to. This cream works really quickly though to calm them.
