I like tailenders.

Hosted by Greg James, it's supposed to be loosely cricketing based but there's very little actual cricket talk.
There's someone on there who knows nothing about the game and likes it even less.

Not everyone’s cup of tea but I quite enjoy hearing the interviews on TRIGGERnometry. I don’t always agree with the guests’ world view but it is always interesting.

“Triggernometry is a YouTube channel and podcast, set up in April 2018 by British comedians Konstantin Kisin and Francis Foster. The show claims to be dedicated to the importance of protecting free speech[1][2] and open, fact-based discussion of important and controversial issues with guests typically – but not exclusively – to the right of the political spectrum.[3]“

I love history podcasts. You’re dead to me, and the last archive are favourites.
Cautionary tales is fabulous

Ooh I also like Adam Buxton and Table manners. Will give Elizabeth Day a listen.
I also really like Desert island discs, you can search the whole archive for 75years plus of interviews - I like Kirsty Young’s interview style the best, she is an excellent interviewer, she asks the right questions at the right time to probe an interviewee further, but also gets it spot on with not interrupting and letting them talk when needed.
