Mum to be massage

Hi, I’m staying overnight at a hotel with my partner and he’s booked us into a spa. I can only have certain treatments as I am pregnant so the hotel have booked me in for a mum to be massage. Does anybody know what this is? Is it a back massage and if so are you allowed to lie on your stomach or do they position you on your side?

I had one as a gift!! Wore a bikini - top off was optional - which is did, very professional woman and missed the nips !!
Seaweed wrap and left to marinade in semi dark!! So relaxing!! Lay on each side for back and hip massage. Truly wonderful!!

Thanks! when you say bikini top was optional do you mean that they also massage your stomach?? Or back only??

You could contact the hotel spa and ask what it involves?

They normally prop you up on your side with plenty of cushions supporting you. Apart from that it's very similar to a normal back massage. If it's a reputable place (which a hotel spa should be), they should also know which oils to use as I think some aren't suitable during pregnancy.

I had one with a specially adapted table with a hole so you lie on your front and your belly is held. It was so comfortable! No massage on belly, back shoulders and legs. It was wonderful, enjoy!

I’ve had a mum to be massage and I was propped on a side while she worked my lower back, then over onto my back where she worked pure magic on my legs and feet. I almost wanted to marry the woman.

Massaged my front and slightly boobs - as in sides with a bit of side boob! And chest area down to boobs slightly. Wasn't in the slightest awkward or wierd I promise!!
