How long after opening do you eat baked beans?

Finding myself in a bad habit of opening a tin of beans, using half then not using the rest within the recommended 48 hours and ending up throwing them out!

Annoyed at myself and yes I need to be more organised I know but just wondered what everyone else did with this type of thing.

Guessing people are much more relaxed than me about using after the 48 hours.

I decant into a bowl and then use within a couple of days.

Buy the small half tins if you only need half a tin at a time.

I love straight out of the tin baked beans.

Not longer than 2-3 days and only if properly stored (ie not in the can). The smaller tins are more expensive but if you’re throwing half the big tin away each time it’ll probably work out cheaper.

Not something I have any kind of policy on, like all food I use my eyes and nose to decide whether to eatitratherthan the clock or calendar

I put the rest of the tin in the freezer and eat it at my leisure...

I store it in an airtight glass box in the fridge so lasts way longer than 48 hours..

2 days. Buy some smaller tins as well. X

Buy some tin lids from.ebaybfor like 50p and they'll last in the fridge for a good few days.
