Do you plunge into a sort of depression around the time you are ovulating?

Hi everyone. Just that really.
I don't really get pms- I get a little irritated but no mood swings before my period is due BUT during the ovulation phase I am a completely different person- all my insecurities and anxieties pay a visit, I become numb inside and stay in my bed wishing I wouldn't wake up the next morning. I cry all the time and become very sad and overthink reasons why my life hasn't played out the way I wanted it to. I go into a massive Woe is me episode about being single for example, not achieving what I want to at this stage and then hating and resenting everyone around me.

Does anyone else go through this? Does this have a name? I couldn't find anything online and really dislike feeling like this.

Yes During ovulation I get angry and I also get horrific cramping pains in my thighs like contractions, I also bloat and weigh more.

Yes I did. More mid cycle than during my period.

Its really noticeable now Im through the menopause and everything is just err.... The same mood every day!

I don't but I do experience hormonal fluctuations - I get the joy of paranoia in the few days building up to my period. I got from reasonably happy and confident to "everybody sees me, hates me" overnight.

Me! Thought I was alone. It's awful isnt it. And I'm the same. No real PMS but I know exactly when I'm ovulating by my mood.

Oh wow! I’m glad I’m not alone!

How do you all cope with it? Do you do anything on those days or ahead of it to mitigate the feeling?
I’m looking at strategies to cope with it before speaking to my gp

Yes I get that. It's awful. My doctor gave me propranolol for it.

That’s good.
I’m not v keen on taking any medication for it yet as I’m on a cocktail of meds for another condition as is and would like to see what other strategies I can adopt first 😊.
