Getting in touch with Virgin Media

I want to cancel my package but can’t get in touch. Chat and phone both shut due to Covid. Website is driving me nuts. Can’t login and it won’t let me reset my login - ‘service not available’. It Also says my email isn’t recognised even though they email me my bill Every month!
Anyone got any tips?

Are you on Twitter? I've found that the best way to get in contact with tv / phone service providers.

They are twats, despite changing my bank account details with them 5 times, still got a debt collectors letter after 6 months as had missed 1 payment (3 accounts me and kids) Took me months to sort it. Been with them 10+ years.

I’ve finally managed to get I touch with someone via text. They’re trying to reset my login so fingers crossed. It shouldn’t be this difficult.

Do you have a Virgin Media phone ? If yes, just dial 151 and take it from there.

Just call them and press the option to cancel/leave.takes about 20 mins to get through to a call centre abroad and they will probably fuck your request up so you end up calling a 2nd/3rd time.

I’ve sent a complaint to them about their lack of customer service..... no response over 13 days ago.
When my contract ends again I’ll be leaving them

Good luck. We have been trying to cancel for days due to their terrible Internet. They keep cutting us off when we phone and you can't cancel via the Web

Awful company. They used to be good years ago but service has steadily worsened. Internet here is rubbish despite buying their boosters, which I think should be free. They changed my DH's mobile phone to a different and more expensive tariff without his permission. Customer service is dreadful. One of their agents was very rude to me. You do get a response if you email their complaints department - eventually. Price has steadily gone up too. Roll on November when my contract ends and I can find a different provider.

The phone lines are saying they’re closed due to Covid. Am still on the text with them (for 5 hours). They said they’d try and re-register on my behalf. They then text me to say it wasn’t working. No shit Sherlock!

They are horrific OP. I have been trying to cancel for weeks and finally managed it today by calling ‭0800 952 2025‬

Can recommend!

And now they’ve come back and said there a problem with the website. I KNOW! They’ve suggested I try again tomorrow. I’ve been trying for weeks. Sigh.

They are ghastly aren’t they!

Call ‭0800 952 2025 and you need to go to option 1, 4, 4 - yes I have called that many times - it’s something like ‘you are thinking of leaving us’, you end up on hold for circa half an hour.

When I struggled to cancel with a company I went old school and sent a letter recorded delivery giving notice that I was cancelling my contract. I kept a copy and cancelled the direct debit on the appropriate date.
