Ghislaine Maxwell's 'secret' husband turned out to Prince Andrew?

OMG!! That WOULD make me laugh. But, if it is, it has a sense of logic in it for him. A wife cannot testify against a husband can she?

Haha I didn’t see that coming grin Nice one OP.

Can’t even imagine!

nancy75 Fri 17-Jul-20 18:54:24

I’ve been saying the very same thing!

CigarsofthePharoahs Fri 17-Jul-20 18:55:07

Don't give him ideas!

fortheloveofcrisps Fri 17-Jul-20 19:11:46

That was my first thought too!

MargaretHooper Fri 17-Jul-20 19:14:59

A wife can't be forced to testify against her husband - not that she can't. But - not sure what the position is under American law?

DrDavidBanner Fri 17-Jul-20 19:16:23

After the year we've had this would not supirise me in the least!

kevinbacone Fri 17-Jul-20 19:19:09

@nancy75 great minds think alike.

If I was writing this all as a film in the 1970's disaster movie style I feel like it would make for a quite compelling sub-plot.

@MargaretHooper In America, a spouse can only testify if they choose to do so. They are not compelled to by law.

cheezy Fri 17-Jul-20 20:45:43

I can’t imagine that PA is GM’s type exactly

TheHighestSardine Fri 17-Jul-20 20:50:23

Not sweaty enough Cheezy?

Peterbishopssarcasticsmile Fri 17-Jul-20 20:51:59

I so want this to be true

kevinbacone Fri 17-Jul-20 21:10:49

@cheezy I reckon she'd overlook any of his less savoury traits if he kept her in the manner to which she's become accustomed. Wonder what Fergie would say?!

OMG original poster! Possibly a nice cliff hanger for the movie rights!

I understand one is best served on hand and foot by those pre scened and selected according to age?

Does she partake in dough balls a la Pizza Express. I always only remember nothing but my supper excursions at Pizza Express even after decades. Everything else pales into distance memory.

Caveat - humour alert and for fictional movie purposes only!

ComDummings Fri 17-Jul-20 21:25:01

I never thought of that, it would be an amazing twist.

ResIpsaLoquiturInterAlia Fri 17-Jul-20 21:31:05

Possibly also had a spouse birthday lockdown detour to a beauty spot for some flower therapy whist Covided and testing eye sight to see if one safely with family in tow drive cross country without bumping into cars or pesky locals with snap happy smartphones etc.

MargaretHooper Fri 17-Jul-20 21:31:27

@RedDiamond - ah, so it's the same as here.

kevinbacone Fri 17-Jul-20 21:39:10

I didn't know anything about the legal aspects.m, just figured that it would be handy as they'd protect one another by omission. It actually seems all the more likely if it would mean that they had some legal way of protecting one another. Starting to wonder if it's really true now <disappears down rabbit hole>
